970 Ti?

So, was looking through  PassMark - G3D Mark list and saw an entry for a 970 Ti! WTH? What do you guys think?

970ti would make no sense unless priced at the same price of the 970.

I think it maybe exactly like the 970's VRAM thing they had going on before but with higher clock speeds hahaha

It doesn't exist.

Usually x50, x60 and x80 have Ti variants.

Maybe they bring it in at the 970 price point and then lower the 970 price?

Hmm, that is a curious find. I personally would very surprised if Nvidia came out with such a card at this time but you never know. AMD's R9 390 is much more appealing than the 970 at their price point, maybe they are thinking of releasing a higher clocked 970 with more VRAM to try to take market away from the R9 390? Or maybe they plan on making the 970ti a beastly low end card for next gen? Of course that is all speculation on my end, could just be a typo for all we know.

Passmark G3D doesnt support dual GPU cards, so you will notice all dual GPU cards have lower scores.

What does it calculate score with then, why is a Fury X being beaten by a Tiitan Black?

For the dual GPUs, it just uses one of the GPUs. I'm not sure exactly how they score it but it's definitely not real world gaming performance that's for sure.

I don't think this is the only site they use but yes they use this one too. I mean, this site isn't bad, its just that it isn't meant to provide gaming performance benchmarks. I think it's 3D rendering performance scores or something like that.
