So I have a project at school where I have to give up something I love for a week, or take on an extra responsibility for a week. Most people do "no [various social media app], drinking only water", that sort of thing. But because I'm a masochist I'm going to bring only my Windows 98 laptop to class for a week. I've loaded Office 97 onto it, and that's about all I need. It has no modern networking hardware, so cannot access any websites. Hence the floppies - on my break periods I'll run back to my room and submit assignments with a USB floppy drive on my workstation. 

K6-2 380mhz, 64MB of RAM, and dual 4gb CompactFlash cards for storage. A bit slower than an IDE HDD would be, but less likely to randomly die than an IDE HDD. I've got a battery in it that lasts a solid 20-40 minutes depending on use case, so it should be somewhat okay. 

Did they ever verify it's actually quad channel not dual channel memory or was this just assumed?

Sure, and I just still use the 750 ti in my rig (csgo is not demanding) and found one laying in an older rig I had. Decided to give this option a go. Anyway Ill post results asap.

This persons chemistry with you had me smiling like an idiot for the entire video. I even shared it with people I don't normally do so. Unlike Jake whose wit sometimes comes across a little... bitter, this doesn't. 
 
I was really hesitant that the community would react poorly to this more 'youth centric' humour, but I'm so glad to see it mostly hasn't.

Totally agree with the 'hire her' comments but it's not quite as simple as that as I am sure serious consideration should be given to her finishing her course/schooling (I don't know how long she has left of her course) before taking up any potential offer from LTT.

There's part of me that would love to see her work for LMG (I think they need more women on staff tbh) but the other part of me jealous because I have at least another 2 years before they'll even consider hiring me cause I'm not Canadian (gotta get that bachelor's degree to be considered "skilled" enough to get a work visa) and I've been trying for the last 2 years while working on my associate's. BUT I am glad to finally see a female win one of these tech giveaways for once; we like computers too ya'll!

Just to add this into the mix, Linus was on Paul and Kyle's "Awesome Hardware" show a couple of nights ago. In their superchat section at the end, someone donated with "#hiremadison".
 
Linus replied that they are staggered by the reception that the video (which at the time was still FP exclusive) has got, but that they "do not comment on HR matters publicly" (or something to that effect)
