I have a friend that works for Lego in Slough UK. She is so bad with tech she has trouble changing her ring tone. She owns thousands of pieces of Lego but I would never let her near my rig

one real real real cheap quick and easy thing to do is to shred some cabbage and keep it in a bucket of water in your fridge.

when you prepare a meal grab a few bunches of that shredded cabbage and eat as much as you can with salad dressing or w/e before your meal to give you that satisfying bulk in your gut before you eat

and shredding cabbage is easy and good practice of knife skills. or use a mandolin of you have one. I just quarter it and take a quarter and slice it paper thin.

... or turn it into a quick slaw with salt and vinegar... maybe a hit of mayo.
either way its a quick easy bulky thing you can eat guilt free to fill your gut.  super cheap and you can do the work a few nights before.

    Pancake/Hotcake clarification

    Crepes - Really thin.

Pancakes - About twice the thickness of a Crepe.

Hotcakes - Have raising agent and are really thick and fluffy. These are what most people know as 'Pancakes'.

The words hotcake and pancake have slowly become interchangeable even though they are different.

So this week in Australia we have a charity event called the Biggest Morning Tea where people donate money to have tea, coffee and baked goods for cancer charities. I'm not going but I'm donating baked goodies.

I give you my Red Velvet Cupcakes

So when I told my mom that my computer had blue screened twice in the last week she replied "oh no, not the blue screen of death".
She is finally picking things up, such a proud moment. She still hasn't figured out left and right clicking completely so it was a little strange too.

    on the menu today: Okonomiyaki.

I used to hate the stuff... like absolutely despise it but the other day I made it just because I had a red cabbage I needed to use up before it died in the fridge to see if my tastes have changed.
I guess they have because I bought another cabbage just for some okonomiyaki
<3 the soft almost gooey interior like a takoyaki.

    Just planted 36 sweetcorn seeds
    33x sweetcorn "tasty sweet F1"
    3x sweetcorn "golda F1"
13x corn plants "golda F1" are already growing in a flowerpot.
In total 39 corn plants, which will result in ~78 corncobs if the weather is fine and each single seed grows.
I'll eat a lot of corn
