cx550 is a very good PSU for its pricepoint.

If you can afford it I would recommend spending the extra $20 for the Bitfenix Formula, but if your budget is tight and that means sacrificing something else like going to slower RAM or a smaller SSD then going with the EVGA GD should be okay for your build.
At the end of the day only you know what your budget is like and how much value $20 holds to you.

It likes high current and high amperage? Ampere is a measurement of current.

I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say here.
Looking at the spec sheets the Bitfenix Formula 550W has max 30A for the 12Vvga rail, compared to the max 42A on 12V for the EVGA GD 500w with its single rail design.
Having 'more combined amperage and high current capacity' won't make your graphics card 'healthier'. If it did everyone would be buying AX1600i's. Having a PSU that cannot supply enough is a problem, sure, but that's not what you said... Are you suggesting that the EVGA GD cannot supply enough power for the graphics card to work?

20 dollars is not worth it at all, grab the Formula.

The 5700XT did heritage something from Vega/Radeon7 which is it's love for very high current demand, likes high amperage as well so the Formula multi-rail setup on 12v with more combined amperage and high current capacity will ensure this card works healthy for a long time.

The GD is an inferior PSU all around as you already know and sure it will work day one but you'll always gonna be closer to a system failure just to save enough for a lunch? I mean seriously...

careful not to confuse the Dark Power Pro 11 and Straight Power 11 with the Pure Power 11... the latter is indeed beQuiet! lowest end PSU and in this case indeed worse than the Formula

The Pure Power 11 is not BeQuiet's lowest end PSU. The System Power 9 (and U9) are BeQuiet's budget PSU offerings.

You can't compare PSUs from different companies based on where they sit in their respective companies product stacks.
As far as I know the Formula and Whisper M are the only models of PSU currently in production for Bitfenix. Technically that means that the Formula is Bitfenix's lowest end PSU...

Anyhow, Formula Gold is better in almost anyway except the fan.

I'm sorry, I meant to say one of the lower end ones, I do not compare PSU by what they are place on their brands we all know deeper than that though always great to bring it up, thank you for the pointing out.

I'll particularly refrain from doing a random reply mid sleep as it affects greatly the standard of my replies, cheers.

The Be Quiet will make no noise, which Im not sure about the audible on the BitFenix and what not.  Also I believe Be Quiet has a better warranty and what not.  You use about 140watts idle ok desktop and gaming doesn't even hit 400watts so the 500w PSU would suffice and what not.

Pure power 11, being an upgraded raider II iirc, is worse than the  Corsair CX. Corsair CX is similar to base CWT GPS, and Formula is a heavily upgraded GPS. You can figure it out from there.

No worries... I actually meant, are you gonna be using a headset or monitor/speakers, as the quality of those are more important than the on-board soundcard so to speak. By that I mean, if you get a crappy headset, it doesn't matter how good the soundcard is as it'll still sound crappy.

I don't know of many motherboards that come with "audiophile" grade sound built into them. For that you will need an add in sound card or something that plugs into the usb. Like the dragonfly DAC or something. Or you can use your video card depending on what it is. For the video card you would need to use HDMI or the optical output if it has one. Then connec it to a reciever or something that accepts those. My system is hooked up to my home theater system so I use the HDMI cable routed to my reciever which sends the video to my tv and decodes the sound.

If you are just talking about hooking up a gaming headset then the audio jack should work just fine. I also think some gaming headsets use USB connections and have a built in DAC. How good they sound will depend on how good the DAC and amp section is on those headsets. For instance I have a cheap logitech headset that is usb. They sound, well, cheap lol. I honestly wouldn't bother with an external DAC unless you have really nice headphones or a good amp and speakers.
