  1. Well, in about 40 minutes I clock out from my contract job for the last time and officially become unemployed again. This is the time-slots where I would put my new job... IF I HAD ONE!!!

Will EVGA Offer a Warranty Return Exchange?

I just had to RMA a EVGA 1050 GS that had the 12v rail fail. I was expecting them to at the most send me a refurb unit because they send instructions specifying that you shouldn't include any of the accessories or the original package. The sent me a whole, brand new, sealed in the plastic PSU; so now I have a second set of cables for that power supply. I would expect that you should receive a brand new card.

2016 just can't stop - Carrie Fisher Dies at 60

She had Bipolar Disorder and turned to drugs early in life to deal with it.
  6. DAMN IT ALL, 2016!! I'VE HAD IT WITH YOUR ATTITUDE! gO TO YOUR ROOM IF YOU CAN'T PLAY NICE!! Carrie Fisher, best known for her role as Leia Organa in the Star Wars movies passed away this morning after suffering a massive heart attack while on a flight from London to LA on Friday. Deepest condolences to her family: the whole of Star Wars Fandom mourns with you. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/27/movies/carrie-fisher-dead-star-wars-princess-leia.html?_r=0 http://people.com/movies/carrie-fisher-dies/

Put your specs in your question!

BEGIN BRIEF RANT This is why have mostly stopped even looking at the Troubleshooting section. I just got plain ol' sick and tired of people bitching me out and telling me to go look at someone's profile to see if they have listed any system specs after I have read their question/situation (news flash: not everyone puts their system specs in their profile, especially new members that just joined and asked a troubleshooting question as their first post). If you are going to ask for some help, do not expect the helpers to go hunting down your system specs, put a little effort into it by listed them in the original post and help yourself by helping us help you. Besides, if you read the sticky post in the Troubleshooting section it clearly states that you are to list your system specs in the original post so that people know what you're working with. END BRIEF RANT

      1) *I have too many bills to quit

      2) Definitely not too lazy to find another job, I've been job hunting for over 2 months now

      3) Come Jan 27th I don't have a job because I'm in a fixed-term position and it ends on the 27th

      4) Points 1-3 don't mean that I can't still be annoyed with my current job

Been working in the same place for 3 years now and I dread every single day.

My contract is unlimited-term, but I've decided to go back to school, which will probably involve resigning if I can't find a way to handle work and school.

    Male Birth Control

This. ^ I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking rationally. I recognize that I have always been a bit old fashioned, but I have genuinely never understood how sex has become so casual and trivialized in today's society. I have always wanted sex to be a special connection between myself and the woman I love (and want to spend the rest of my life with). I had sex once my first year of university after an ugly breakup with my high school sweetheart as kind of an ego booster (I still feel kind of guilty about it, but she was a damn hot redhead), but after that first time I was abstinent because I was never had a relationship (what few I had in college) go beyond a couple months and I never felt that special connection. I am now in a very happy relationship after 8 years of failed dating, and we bump uglies on the regular, but that is because we got to know each other and developed our relationship for over 6 months before we started dating, and we have such a deep connection that it just feels right and we both can see this relationship being the long game. That being said, we have already talked a number of time regarding kids and, while neither of us wants a child right now, we do both want to have kids someday and we have accepted the possibility of conception and the responsibility that goes with it. People really do need to start taking responsibility for themselves and stop trying to pawn it off on some other person. EDIT: I suppose I can answer the OP's question: No, I don't think I would take it. I don't like the idea of messing with my hormonal ballance, and I would never ask my woman to take BC if she didn't want too. My GF used to take hormonal BC but didn't like it so she switched to an IUD and she is much happier with that, plus it is much more effective.
  12. Randomly decided to test out streaming on my new X99 system since I can't justify dropping the money on a capture card right now to put in a dedicated streaming PC, and it streams like a dream! I had XCOM 2 running, X-Split running the stream, a group Hangouts video call, and I had my own stream playing so I could monitor it, and I didn't have a single hiccup while running a 720p60fps stream at 3500 bit rate. I want to see Zen provide this level of performance so that AMD can finally crawl its way out of the pre-historic, primordial CPU ooze.

Well, we're running really similar systems! Even using the same uncommon Romer-G Keys! Have you OC'd it? I'm at 4.4Ghz.

      DevilishBooster

No, no OC yet, but I'm going to one of these days since it is on an AIO cooler.

  13. They should be left alone. They are there to keep a little pressure between the I/O ports on the motherboard, the I/O shield, and the case so that it prevents potential buzzing noises from vibrations generated by the system. If you have the motherboard properly lined up and installed, then the little "prongs" shouldn't interfere with the I/O ports.
  14. Woah woah woah!! You mean I have to be RESPONSIBLE for forming my own opinion on what I choose to believe!? I didn't sign up for that!
