Thanks, didnt you say you were also in the UK? I dont really recommend it but maybe try to sell ur 970 to CEX. You probably wont get as much for it but if you want the money quickly then it may be worth it. Thanks. It wasnt much of an upgrade tbh, I found a GTX 570 for £50 in a local CEX store and bought it. I know that the difference in FPS is only about 6% however I wanted Nvidia Physx in my games as well as an extra performance bump for recording vids and so on...
 
Oh and it is a Gainward GPU with double dissipation so I got it for the awesome looks too.

Yeah I can imagine it being noisy with the reference cooler. I'm half considering a G10 as well, cause that sounds amazing! Highest you've got is 45   Plus it'd fit my white build  B)  Sounds like a perfect build right there though

Temps are wonderful! I bought the reference card (early adopter) and temps were in the mid to upper 60's with 70-80% fan speed. But it was LOUD. After I put the H55 on with the G10 bracket, the highest my temps have ever gotten is 45. It is whisper quiet and runs like a champ. Watercoolingmasterrace lol.Really though, I was aiming for a silent build and my PC is like a hybrid car running; you can't hear it.
Granted the 760T has great airflow and my PC is in the basement with ~ 18-20 degrees Celsius.

Not that I'm racist, but this is the best race I've been in for a while. Haha btw, how's your 980Ti with the Kraken G10? Did you notice a big improvement with temps after you installed it?

Even if in general Ultrawide looks gorgeous, it doesn't necessarily translate well to some games, what with poor FOV control and UI placement being borked.

So I won a PNY XLR8 GTX 980Ti OC from Nvidia's Christmas giveaway here in the UK, (with this post) which I'm still struggling to come to terms with, it's absolutely the craziest thing.

But, my gaming setup still uses 1080p monitors (1x32in as main display and 1x22in as a secondary). So, I thought to do the new GPU justice, I should upgrade displays, cause using a 980Ti for 1080p feels like I'm using a Bugatti to drive down the street to the corner shop.

I was thinking a 3440x1440 Ultrawide display like the LG 34UM95 or the curved variant, the 34UC97. Or should I go for a 4k monitor? Or just a less fancy 2560x1440/1600 monitor? What's your guys thoughts?

MBoard: Asus Z87 Sabertooth

CPU Cooler: Enermax ETS-T40

RAM: 10GB DDR3 1600MHz

GPU: well... the 980Ti
