  1. I just ordered a Rift S.... I feel it's finally time to give VR a real shot.

@givingtnt The CV1 is what I tried.  Blew me away.

TBH I expected it to get me way more motion sick than it did. (Playing Skyrim for Switch on a 65" TV gave me motion sickness)

For the sitting down VR games, do you still experience the same motion sickness?  I would think that Dirt Rally or Assetto Corsa in VR would be even more sickening than the game of Onward I played.

@WikiForce I come back to check statuses once in a while but I'm pretty much gone.  I do tech stuff all day at work and it's the last thing I want when I get home.

I had tried the dev kit 2 and that things was unbearable. Not moving was fine but the second I stood up I fell down lol

The cv1 only gets me sick when I'm playing flight sim games to aggressively lol

Understandable. The dk2 maxed out at 75hz, where 72hz is the bare minimum to avoid motion sickness.

I'm hoping the 80hz on the rift s isn't too much of a plunge to take from the 90hz of the cv1, but most reviews seem to suggest that it's fine.

  2. You can get it from Maxon here: https://www.maxon.net/en/support/downloads/
  3. It's been a fuckin minute since I last hopped on here boys

  4. A cousin of mine had his parents do this. The thing is, unless the app is installing an administration profile on the phone, you can just turn off location services and go off the grid for a bit.
  5. If you're focusing on audio video, and getting 144Hz+ gaming doesn't matter to you, I'd consider skipping the i7 and going for a Ryzen 7, as the extra cores will really help your render times. If you were thinking of going the Mac route, would you be using Final Cut Pro X, or Premiere pro? Because if Final Cut, the Mac is the clear choice.
  6. Just bought my new car on Saturday.  Can't wait to go pick it up this week.

2018 Subaru Impreza 5-door Sport (and I tacked on the Eyesight Tech package)

  7. I haven't been on here in forever, been too busy with work (and PUBG).  I got a GTX 960 for free recently so that's pretty cool, not sure what I'm gonna do with it though.

  8. Do you have another device you can try connecting to the VGA port on the monitor to see if that works?
  9. Monitor is supposed to get back today. Can't wait to get back to gaming properly.

  10. My new monitor will be here Friday after waiting 3 weeks on this RMA.  Can't wait to get back to gaming on my desktop.

  11. weeeew I haven't been here in goddamn forever.  Just bumped my laptop from 16GB to 32GB of RAM.  16 was starting to feel a little bit tight.
