    Phone tracking apps

A cousin of mine had his parents do this. The thing is, unless the app is installing an administration profile on the phone, you can just turn off location services and go off the grid for a bit.

    A build for audio/video making.

If you're focusing on audio video, and getting 144Hz+ gaming doesn't matter to you, I'd consider skipping the i7 and going for a Ryzen 7, as the extra cores will really help your render times. If you were thinking of going the Mac route, would you be using Final Cut Pro X, or Premiere pro? Because if Final Cut, the Mac is the clear choice.
  4. Just bought my new car on Saturday.  Can't wait to go pick it up this week.

2018 Subaru Impreza 5-door Sport (and I tacked on the Eyesight Tech package)

  5. I haven't been on here in forever, been too busy with work (and PUBG).  I got a GTX 960 for free recently so that's pretty cool, not sure what I'm gonna do with it though.

Laptop doesn't work while hooked up to moniter

Do you have another device you can try connecting to the VGA port on the monitor to see if that works?
  7. Monitor is supposed to get back today. Can't wait to get back to gaming properly.

  8. My new monitor will be here Friday after waiting 3 weeks on this RMA.  Can't wait to get back to gaming on my desktop.

  9. NT-H1 works the best in my experience.
  10. weeeew I haven't been here in goddamn forever.  Just bumped my laptop from 16GB to 32GB of RAM.  16 was starting to feel a little bit tight.

    Router/Modem/Switch help

just get a cheap unmanaged switch. That way you can just plug it in and it should work just fine out of the box.
  12. Likely gonna buy another 16GB of RAM for my laptop.  16GB alone isn't cutting it anymore.

I've got a Clevo.  It's got plenty of clearance on all 4 slots.  @Wikiforce I easily maxed out 16GB on my practical exam last friday.  Not hard when you've got 9 server VMs running with multiple roles each.

Tbh I can't even get by on my gaming workload with just 8GB anymore.

tfw my puny little Elitebook has 16GB.. I pulled 12GB from my last laptop, and then got an insane offer on a 8GB stick of DDR3L - $15USD. I couldn't resist :P

How much money is a Macbook Pro worth

Honestly, I'd give it more than both of those offers. My college's surplus sale had 2009 MBP's for $400 and they sold like hotcakes. You gotta include the "Apple Tax". People fall for that shit easily. OP could throw his thing up on Kijiji for $800 and have it sold in less than a week.

    Buying A new Laptop

That's definitely true, but I'd still take it over an Inspiron. If you want build quality, get a Dell Precision machine.

    Buying A new Laptop

To be completely honest, I'd go with the Clevo for better build quality. Sure, they aren't usually full aluminum chassis', but they're constructed damn well. Had mine for 2 years, and there isn't a scratch.
