  1. I think its a lack of financing options worldwide. That iPhone X becomes a much harder decision when you have to pay the $1000 up front.
  2. So to recap it had a warning sticker saying don't peel, and people just ignored that and peeled. Samsung should have known that tech journos don't read stickers and tweeted it out.
  3. This year I'd agree. Yet when Sept 2020 rolls around coverage will be in most major metro areas. And you will have second generation modems from Qualcomm. Not having it for Holiday 2020 is going to be a considerable disadvantage.
  4. Prince Harry bringing back the Divine Right of Kings to destroy Fortnite is the future we deserve.
  5. Yeah it does seem that way, or at least that mattered are no longer there. I think EA should close Edmonton and give the IPs to the Austin branch. They did far better work on SWTOR than anything the Canadian branches have done in the last 5 years.
  6. Where is the statement from Border Patrol on this? Not in the story, not even a "we contacted them and they declined". So its a story on an activist suing alongside an activist organization, written by an activist publication that presented only one side. Why should I believe any of this? Leftwing activists fake encounters all the time now. I require proof.
  7. Bioware development cycle. Year 1: Dick Around Year 2: Pussy Foot Around Year 3: Back to Dicking Around Year 4: Oh SNAP EA IS HERE AND EXPECTS SOMETHING FOR THEIR MONEY Year 5: Rush together mediocre game with glaring bugs, take no feedback. Year 6: Release!
  8. I had another idea. Samsung has a Samsung Upgrade 0% financing option on their website for TVs, where you pay a low monthly (~$50 depending on model) and get a new TV every 2 years, and their new QLED tvs are great for gaming with FreeSync (which XBox One X supports). In theory if you could swing $55 a month, you could get a Gaming PC upgrade, and X-Box One X, and then a Samsung Q-LED on monthly payments. https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/qled-4k-tvs
  9. Had this idea in a thread about what should someone get for $2k, a PC or an XBox, needing a TV/Monitor too. Video idea, compare 55 inch TCL Roku TV (~$560) + $1400 PC vs XBox One X + 55 inch OLED. Does the increased framerates of the PC make up for the decreased visual quality of the LED TV?
  10. That would actually make a decent LTT video. 55 inch TCL Roku TV (~$560) + $1400 PC vs XBox One X + 55 inch OLED. Does the increased framerates of the PC make up for the decreased visual quality of the LED TV?
  11. There is a good argument that for $2k the best experience is an X-Box One X with a $1500 LG B series 55 Inch OLED. In terms of overall picture quality.
  12. I have been using a PC with multiple TVs for over a decade now, I think your issue is likely just that your TV is not calibrated as well as the monitor, or vice versa, and its just harder to see that with moving images. But that is true with different monitors as well. The only real issue with PC on TV right now is that a lot of games that have good HDR support on console do not have it on PC, or it fails to work on PC. HDR is really the only area where the PC - TV setup is a issue compared to consoles. As for the OP, I would put the money into a PC; new consoles are coming next year, not a great time to buy in.
  13. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/03/29/share-americans-not-having-sex-has-reached-record-high/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.b071954d1b9f The rise of Dubstep coincides with a reduction in young men having sex.
  14. I like the Red White and Blue tubing choice.
  15. This argument only works when you compare Nvidia's gaming cards vs AMDs, not when you compare their actual compute product, and even then only in some compute workloads and synthetics. Like AMD is not great at Geekbench, And power consumption does matter in the gaming space as well, mobile computing a thing. Not wanting a 400W space heater for a graphics card is a thing. Paying your electric bill and caring about climate change is a thing.
  16. I mean hes not wrong. AMD's 7nm product has about 12nm RTX2080 performance at a higher power draw. The Nvidia's Turing architecture is more power efficient at 12nm than AMD at 7nm.
  17. That is just pathetic. Its just a triple charger. Anker should make it one for $50.
  18. The decentralized blockchain internet is coming, the authoritarians are going to lose to the march of progress. Technological advancement will render their enforcement impossible.
  19. This is very scummy. Does Canada have consumer protection for the elderly? Because this is 100% targeting them because they know they will call and likely not notice the charge!
  20. Wait, who is going to be the new partner on Linum PI? #anyonebutJake
  21. It's VEGA all over again. 980ti killer released against 1080ti, and now an RTX 2080ti killer released in 2020 against Nvidia 7nm Ampere. They are doing it again!
  22. HOLYF@$K It Works! Samsung made unlocking the phone slower with an animation! OMFG that is dumb. Thanks for the tip! Between saving my right thumb 4 times at 4 different angles, and now this, it seems pretty good. @CPotter Make a video on this! The People must know about turning off 'screen transition effect'!
  23. Whats that another piece of consumer electronics from a Chinese manufacturer had vendor supplied spyware.... totally didn't see that coming.?
