Such a tight hole you can't even get it in, eh?

Swift 3 does multitouch gestures. outside of driver updates my only other thought is a defective track pad. All the fixes online say hold F2 on boot to enter bios, set touchpad to advanced then F10 to save and exit (like what you did). I rarely say these words but perhaps it might be time to contact tech support.

If you're on a tighter budget maybe look at the Acer Swift 3, not 100% sure how colour accurate the screen is but its a decent thin/ light laptop, if you want some upgrade options look for HP Pavilions. Those are better for a budget closer to $1000. More expensive/premium laptops tend to have better colour accuracy and 4k display options. perhaps it might be an idea to save some money on the laptop and get a really nice display for your workspace if you edit at home.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 would probably be your best bet, they're selling off first gen surface books on amazon US. Dell XPS would also do a decent job. For video editing dedicated graphics aren't as essential but can be useful.

Assuming you're talking about virtual box, that program uses it's own virtual GPU, so a graphics card won't make a difference. 16gb is handy if you're running a VM or 2 all the time (and like using chrome). 8 should be fine if you're only running them when needed. More threads will improve VM performance. If possible try run your VM's on either a D: partition or external drive, The virtual disks used can hog storage (assuming you're assigning 20-50gb per Windows VM, linux is ligher on storage needs)

Just if you are replacing your battery, try get it from Lenovo. Let's just say that the 3rd party batteries can be of questionable quality.

I'd say the surface book or XPS, last I checked the surface offered better performance per €. To be honest, if you're spending €2000 on a laptop it might as well look good. I agree with you that the new surface book looks amazing, also great battery. Razer, while i like their Apple-esque design, they're a smaller comapany which means worse customer service compared to bigger brands like Dell, HP or Microsoft. So to conclude, I'd choose the surface.

Easily hits over 100 FPS in most maps, if not 80 FPS minimum at the low setting at 1080p (Best settings to play at). I can compile a small list of games that I cant test for you. Though from my experience Vega 8 Mobile on the Envy X360 preforms similarly to a GT 730 1 GB GDDR5 (Its a good little card).
