Take a look at the Acer Predator Helios. Mine has a GTX 1070 (not max-Q) and an i7-8750h 6c/12t. It has 2 m.2 slots (already has a built in ssd) and 4 sodimm slots (2 are already full with 16 gigs)

Microsoft Surface Book 2 would probably be your best bet, they're selling off first gen surface books on amazon US. Dell XPS would also do a decent job. For video editing dedicated graphics aren't as essential but can be useful.

If you're on a tighter budget maybe look at the Acer Swift 3, not 100% sure how colour accurate the screen is but its a decent thin/ light laptop, if you want some upgrade options look for HP Pavilions. Those are better for a budget closer to $1000. More expensive/premium laptops tend to have better colour accuracy and 4k display options. perhaps it might be an idea to save some money on the laptop and get a really nice display for your workspace if you edit at home.

i am not planning on editing at home, mostly on the go. i am not really on that tight of a budget, probably can stretch a bit but not much

https://www.acer.com/ac/de/DE/content/predator-model/NH.Q3NEG.001

Comes with backlit keys (I think 4 Zones)

7 or 8 Heatpipes (I play on ultra settings most of the games with the CPU mid 70s and GPU mid 60s-low 70s)

Dual Fans

144Hz 1080p G-Sync IPS-Panel

2 Thunderbolt ports

HDMI 2.0

Displayport (not sure if 1.2 or 1.4)

So yeah it has everything I would need.

EDIT: just double checked, it has 5 pipes (2 thick ones going to both fans and 3 thinner which of 2 go to the bigger fan on the right and 1 to the left smaller fan)

Well yeah sure, the 500 comes with a big ass screen with high refreshrate and G-Sync which not many people need. Nevertheless I was between an MSI Raider and the Helios, the Helios offered better upgradeability and overall better performance. You can open the bottom service cover without voiding the warranty and add storage7ram while for the MSI you would have to disassamble the whole bottom cover and void the warranty while doing so
