how does it handle relatively light games like CSgo?

Easily hits over 100 FPS in most maps, if not 80 FPS minimum at the low setting at 1080p (Best settings to play at). I can compile a small list of games that I cant test for you. Though from my experience Vega 8 Mobile on the Envy X360 preforms similarly to a GT 730 1 GB GDDR5 (Its a good little card).

Looking for a college laptop, while benchmarks are a good indicator of performance, actual uses are more accurate. Can anyone with a laptop with Vega 3,6,8 graphics give me a rough indicator of the in game performance of the iGPU's . Not using the laptop as my main rig, got a desktop for that, just want to know how much of an improvement the vega graphics skews are compared to intel UHD 620. I've done some research online, the 2500U and 2700U are well documented, but the 2200U and 2300U are ignored.

@Silentprototipe has a laptop with a Ryzen 5 2500U if you need a bit more insight on that particular chip.

The update that shipped Panorama by default probably fucked some things up along the way, so I couldn't really tell you, sadly.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Primary Laptop (Gearsy MK4): Ryzen 9 5900HX, Radeon RX 6800M, Radeon Vega 8 Mobile, 24 GB DDR4 2400 Mhz, 512 GB SSD+1TB SSD, 15.6 in 300 Hz IPS display

Secondary Laptop (Uni MK2): Ryzen 7 5800HS, Nvidia GTX 1650, Radeon Vega 8 Mobile, 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz, 512 GB SSD

2021 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

2017 HP Envy X360 15z (Ryzen)

PC (Gearsy): A6 3650, HD 6530D , 8 GB 1600 Mhz Kingston DDR3, Some Random Mobo Lol, EVGA 450W BT PSU, Stock Cooler, 128 GB Kingston SSD, 1 TB WD Blue 7200 RPM

HP P7 1234 (Yes It's Actually Called That)  RIP

Also im happy to answer any Ryzen Mobile questions if anyone is interested!

I know the 730 well, considering how cheap it is, it's actually a good "I have no money and need an upgrade over Intel HD graphics" graphics card. Currently using one with an i5 4570S (saving for a 1060). Thanks, 730 is a nice reference point.

Instead of starting a new thread, I do wanna ask you. How good or poorly of a job does HP do on cooling for the 2500U, like how hot does it get and does it throttle at all?

As you can see here, they did a very bad job at it (not suggesting you open up your X360 lol)

It's an A10 9600P

Cant say i have experience yet, but if its thin like the x360 cooling probably wont be great, I've worked on several laptops (i work part time fixing them) All the thin ones i repair i throw some arctic silver paste on the CPU. If you're skilled with disassembly and dont care about warranty, a careful removal/cleaning of the heat sync and a spot of high end thermal goop (as i like to call it) should shave a few degrees off it. Fairly sure LTT did a few vids on thermal gooping laptops. Not the answer you're looking for but if all else fails it give you the option.

Its meh, I had to repaste it to get the fan speed down but once repasted it stays in the 77-81 degree range. Quite hot but not dangerous to the APU
