My PC has an issue where the RAM frequency is detected by the BIOS as 1600Mhz but Windows detects it as 800Mhz. XMP is enabled.
Relevant specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24
OS: Windows 10
In software the timings read correctly but not the frequency. I have tried to adjust the timing to see if it would correct it (it didn't). I would have tried adjusting the frequency in the BIOS but the option is ghosted out so I can't adjust it. I tried to use AMD Overdrive to adjust the frequency, but it is also ghosted. I never had this problem in Windows 7.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
