  1. Sometimes you can. I've succesfully RMA'ed two different coil whining PSUs. The retailer/manufacturer has to be a good guy though.
  2. We all know it's more like 23x512MB for a total of 11.5GB ))
  3. To me it's more of a design choice with the G Watch R - I own it and I don't mind it. But i see the point for people who prefer the Moto 360 approach.
  4. But would an old AMD quad core (slow single-threaded performance) have been any better than luke's dual core?
  5. Resist the urge to throw the computer if it won't post! For some reason they never post on my first try.
  6. And i just bought a Shield tablet last week... : (
  7. It has a HDD priority setting with only my HDDs and SSD, where my SSD is at the top - then it has a normal boot priority list where every boot device is listed Also, when i unplug the optical drive, it boots just fine.
  8. I am in the process of ripping my parent's CDs and DVDs, and i thought it would be a bit faster, if i had a few more optical drives in my system - no problem. Found som spares, but when i plug a secondary optical drive in and try to boot, it just tells me to select proper boot device. I went into the BIOS and found that my boot drive is still on top of the boot priority list. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? I'm using a MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard with an SSD as boot drive (OCZ Agility) along with a Western Digital Blue and Western Digital Black for storage and of course the optical drive which is already in my system.
  9. Thanks for the tip. I guess, I won't get it before monday either way, so i'm gonna se if i get lucky!
  10. So apparently it just has a very slow release in Europe. Thanks for the link! Sadly they do not seem to have the GPU, i'm after. Gonna keep an eye out for it though! Edit: So apparently i misread their site, and they do have my GPU! Thank you! It'll be nice to get it, since my old graphics card just burned out today.
  11. I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but i'm finally buying a new graphics card next week, and i noticed that the new Never Settle-campaign haven't showed up on any websites in my country (Denmark), so i tried a few others in Sweden, Norway, Germany and The UK, and it seems non of these countries have gotten it. On AMD's own website it states that more than a few shops should have it, but they don't. Do any europeans know, if it's normal, that they are late, and how late they can be expected to be? Will it take weeks for never settle to hit europe? AMD's site: http://sites.amd.com/us/promo/never-settle/Pages/nsreloadedforever.aspx
  12. I definitely like the front facing speakers the most! Please keep doing the reviews, Linus. When considering the Nexus 5, I read tons of reviews of it, but your review clearly stood out because of the more personal and less benchmark-oriented style you have. I really just want my phone to work, and synthetic benchmarks doesn't tell me as much as an actual user of the phone can. Keep up the great work! I would hate to see the phone reviews go.
  13. I've got an Asrock Z77 Pro4, but it's not a good board, really. I've already been messing around with SpeedFan, and i found, that i didn't like it being automatic and rather that i could just manually reach down and flip a switch or something. At least that's what i've come to love with the built in fan controller in my Define R4. Thanks for the tip though. I'm already thinking of getting an Asus board the next time around. (Which won't be for another 1 or 2 generations) I may try their utilities out by then and see how it works, and how i like it!
  14. My CPU and GPU fans won't be turned off of course, and I will let 2 fans remain active at low rpm just in case. I, know this is enough, since that is what I am doing already. Linus used the mcubed t-balancer, I think. This is not the solution I am looking for though, since it's more automatic than manual.
  15. Hi, forum! I've been hard at work trying to track down a fan controller which can power my fans all the way down. I just ordered 6 Spectre Pros for my Define R4, and i would like to be able to shut down at least 3-4 of them while browsing the web and doing lighter tasks. I think a 3 or 4 channel fan controller is enough as long as it has enough wattage for me to be able to use Y splitters. Alternatively i may just use the case' build in fan controller for the remaining on-fans. I've been looking at the Bitfenix Hydra Pro, and it is very promising, but it seems it won't go all the way down, bummer. Is there any way to easily make som kind of switch, which will power down 3-4 fans? Then I might just get the Hydra Pro and pair it with that. By the way, the Hydra Pro is a big plus, since it'll be able to power the LEDs in my Spectre Pros on/off. But the on/off functionality is the priority. Thank you for the help in advance Edit: After hours of search, i've finally found a fan controller, which will do the job; Lamptron FC-9. Seems to be out of stock everywhere, but i'm going to give it a shot (Y)
  16. But almost all of europe use celcius.. Didn't know a swedish guy invented it though i think napoleon was the one who standardized it with the introduction of the SI unit system
  17. Why specifically swedish? Isn't it just the difference between the metric and imperial system?
  18. Speak for yourself. I can't get above 12 mb/s here in Copenhagen, Denmark.
  19. It's on Origin. I wouldn't expect it to go that much down in price. Either way, after playing the beta, i don't even wanna pay for the game. Gameplay feels like call of duty with jet packs and the graphics are pretty cheap.
  20. I remember reading somewhere that Windows 9 will support HSA, so it's not necessarily that far off. But yeah - in a generation or two, this will definitely be a big deal!
  21. I tried doing that gradual upgrade-thing and as you said yourself, suddenly you run into other things, that you use your money on. As a result of this i am now sitting with an i7 3770k, 16gb ram, Corsair RM 850, 120 gb ssd, nice case/cooling and a very old radeon hd 6850. I'm finally getting a better graphics card in the coming months (depends on maxwell), but it has been such a long time now, and i never ever had that "My new PC is AWESOME" feeling because of the bottlenecks, which it would make every time i upgraded my system. Everytime i finally got a new part i had another thing which was next on the list. I recommend just saving up and at least for a little while have a system, which you are happy with instead of constantly thinking about the next upgrade.
