The manufacturer writes that with a 100W load, it should last about +/- 100 minutes.

At zero load, it should rather not report battery wear, certainly not at that rate.

Hi, I am thinking about upgrading my current system.
Can you advise me, is it possible to choose better hardware at a similar price +/- ...

    1. CPU Intel Core i7-9700K
    2. Motherboard MSI MEG Z390 ACE
    3. RAM Corsair 32GB DDR4 4000MHz Dominator PLATINUM
    4. PSU Corsair HX1200i 1200W 80 Plus Platinum

New setup will have to lift off dual GTX1080TI from MSI in SLI with 4K resolution.
    What do you think ?

Kaspersky block my connection, I need to add an exception, then once again refresh login page.
    Go there chrome://flags/#ssl-version-min
Setup SSLv3 than restart your browser.

    From 2560x1440 to 4K
I think this change is future-proof, it will change the CPU in the future.
After the new year interesting titles are to come out, so I'll wait.

4790k is bottlenecking at 7680x1440 so lower res are ok for this CPU and SLI ?

You don't install anything on the server if you're doing the Disk Shelf setup i described.....you need to understand the concept first....

Your PC is the "brain" with the HBA card......the disk shelf is merely powering the drives and acting as a hub with the sas expander card.

Software would just be using the Raid Manager software that comes with your HBA card, and configure the file system locally under Disk Management on your PC.

Yes, and then you have something like this in the server:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-RES2SV240-24-Port-RAID-Expander-Card-SAS-SATA-PCI-Express-x4/192620415574

And you can have one of these in the server as well:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/SAS-36Pin-SFF-8087-PCBA-to-Dual-Ports-Mini-SAS-SFF-8088-Female-Adapter-With-PCI/123374765704

then you run an SFF8088 cable from PC to the adapter, and a SFF8087 cable from the adapter to the SAS expander.

You want to turn it into a JBOD disk shelf?
Then you'll need a SAS controller (e.g an HBA with external connectors) in your PC, and then connect it to a SAS expander in the server. In that case you don't really need powerful cpu/mobo/ram in there, you just need some way to power the SAS expander. If you use a RES2SV240 they can be powered off a molex computer, then you dont even need the cpu/mobo/ram if you use something like this to initialize the power: https://www.servethehome.com/supermicro-cse-ptjbod-cb1-jbod-power-board-diy-jbod-chassis-made-easy/

    No

Yes but you will limit the maximum ram to the same as a desktop CPU.

You don't have to but if you want say more than 64GB of ram then you'll need Registered ECC ram.

Yes that will work well, Samsung is another good option to look at and there is heaps on ebay.

    Edit:
FYI if you pair 2133MHz ram with 2400MHz ram the faster ram will down clock to match the slower ram.

The most safer PSU are the redundant ones. But you can find them only at servers. As a recommendation..... IDK..... I have on my NAS a Corsair VS650 and it was online for the last 3 years. It really depend on luck you know? You may get even an faulty CPU or Mobo. But I can suggest to use something from well branded manufacturer  even this is an usless recommendation

If you are going to use zfs then buy 1gb of ram for each tb you have. If you do not want to use zfs in, for example, Freenas then you will be fine with 4GB of ram. As for the cpu it depends of the speed of your network. If you are going to use gigabit speeds then a low end i3 or Pentium will be absolutely fine. Now if you want to use 10 gigabit lan or run extra stuff un your server, like game servers, virtual machines, plex encoding, you name it you might want to choose something a bit more powerful. For example I have a Pentium G4560 with 8GB of ram. I run Debian stable on my server with the following services: Samba (windows sharing) at gigabit speeds, Torrent Downloader, File Downloader (both of theese with aria2 and a web gui), test web server with apache, sometimes a small linux vm, Gitlab server, plex without transcoding and a music streaming radio 24/7. You do not need a powerfull cpu at all for a server. Especially if you run linux.

Edit: Also consider the ammout of clients that will be using your server. With a low end cpu you are fine with about 30 clients
