Pro supports SLI (and has 1 extra PCIe x16) while Elite doesnt. Pro also swaps out a USB 3.1 Type A for a Type C. more fan headers, more thermal sensors, 2 thermal probes (so you can have temperature sense anywhere you want) and 2 pump headers than the Elite.

The Z390 Arous Pro is the higher-end board between the two.
The Pro version has support for nVidia SLI / AMD Crossfire, and also has more USB 3.1 ports.
There are also a couple more little things, including:
More fan headers Temperature sensor headers VRM design are exactly the same for both boards.

Personally, I would go for the 9900K.

You can cut down on the storage a bit (500GB SSD + 2TB HDD) and get a new GPU if you want.
$2k can get you a pretty nice system nowadays.

i7-9700K because it's cheaper than the 9900K and there's no change in cores. Like @aezakmi said, for video editing cores matter more than threads.
I've chosen 32GB of GeIL EVO SPEAR RAM as it offers good value for money.
In terms of storage I've chosen a Crucial P1 500GB for a boot drive and an Intel 660p 1TB for storage. The 660p should hold up better than most SSDs when editing (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
GPU-wise I've gone for an EVGA RTX 2080 Black 8GB. It's a great card for the money.
For the case, I've chosen a Fractal Design Meshify C with a tempered glass side window.
The power supply is a BitFenix Formula 650W which should power the system quite nicely.

    My changes would be:

9700k instead of 9900k, for editing cores matter more than threads and both have 8 H100i V2 or a Noctua NH-D15, Corsair's "PRO" series has a high failure rate and performs worse than the previous V2. ASUS Mobo RAM is just OK but know you'll paying around $50 more just because of LEDs, a ripoff if you ask me. If you really need an SSD that large you could go for an nVME m.2 Intel drive like the 600P which is fast and will definitely resist better the r/w cycles from video edition than the Samsung --- Crucial or Sandisk are decent brands too. Power supply: a 650 watt G2 or any other 650W Tier 1 PSU, 850W is overkill for a single graphics card configuration fans are also kind of a ripoff but it's your cash dude

If you can wait a couple months I would go with something within the Ryzen 3000 series. There are some significant IPC improvements and increased core count should help greatly in both gaming and adobe premiere. The pricing structure will also help you save a good chunk of change you could use to get an NVME for your OS.

JeffTutorialsYT reacted to Slick in Floatplane Subscriptions & Migrating to Floatplane.com
As you may have heard we'll be moving all subscriptions off the LTT Forums and on to Floatplane.com. You will no longer be able to subscribe through the forum AND all billing agreements made through the forum will be cut off. At this time we request that all users cancel their subscriptions on the forum and start new subscriptions on Floatplane.com.

Subscriptions done through the forum have been a major accounting problem for a long time now as the forums billing agreements have all been with Linus Media Group instead of Floatplane media which is an accounting nightmare that we are going to try to avoid in 2019.

As a gift for dealing with the hassle of migrating things over, and to cover any time you had left on your subscription, we will be granting two bonus months to all creators that you are subscribed to on Floatplane.com AND you’ll gain access to an exclusive live chat emoji all on January 31st.

    Steps to migrate successfully:
    1) Cancel your subscription on the LTT Forum

Method 1, Cancelling through the Forum:
      Hide contents
    Go to this link: https://linustechtips.com/main/clients/billing-agreements/
    click view details(on the right)
    Click on view(on the right)
    Then click cancel(on the left)

These steps are correct for most people but sometimes the cancel button is sneaky and decides to be somewhere else or isn't there at all.. This is another reason we are moving away from the LTT forums as we can't fix some of the payments problems. If these steps don't work for you please move on to Method 2.

    Method 2, Cancelling through PayPal:
      Hide contents
    Go to this link: https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/autopay/
Scroll through your active autopays and click on 'Linus'.
On the right hand side there should be a Status row that shows 'Active'  Click the 'Cancel' Button beside it.
Click 'Cancel Automatic Payments' on the next popup.
If this fails for whatever reason.. Move on to method 3.

Method 3(Last Resort), Sudo cancel subscription:
      Hide contents
    Send an email to support@floatplane.com
Let them know your forum Username/Email and they'll take care of you. Just a heads up that the wait time will be higher than normal as we are receiving a lot of support tickets right now.

    2) Create or sign in to your existing Floatplane.com account, you can use a forum linked account, that's no problem at all.

    3) Subscribe to whatever creators you want to support. https://www.floatplane.com/browse

    4) Sit back and enjoy the content!

    5) If you had a yearly subscription – Please send an email to support@floatplane.com with your forum account name and your floatplane account name. They will make sure you get the time you had remaining on your forum subscription added to your new floatplane website subscription.

Yearly options on the new site are not available at this time but will be soon.

If all else fails.. Just send an email to support@floatplane.com with any relevant account names, emails, etc. and we'll have you taken care as soon as possible!

    Thanks!

We invest  heavily into our staff/business operations because I have a particular set of "end game" goals that MIGHT be different from other content creators.

Making great content that gets a ton of views doesn't take a huge team. Trying to build a sustainable business operation that (if all goes according to plan) could be capable of running seamlessly without yourself someday does.

There is a ton of merit to both approaches. Neither is "correct".

And to be clear, this is not an announcement or even a HINT that I'm going anywhere anytime soon. It's just the kind of thing where if I were to get hit by a bus tomorrow I would want my family to inherit a strong, sustainable business, and I would want all of my staff to still have jobs.

There are a handful of exclusive videos but they are more behind the scenes and very low production value.

If we are going to put a bunch of time investment into something we want as many people as possible to see it.

If its not worth showing to everyone, it probably wasn't worth spending so much time on.

With that said, serialized higher production value "show-like" formats will continue. We still want corporate sponsors to take some of the risk out of it for now but if Floatplane continues to take off the way it has, it's possible to go the Netflix approach more investment into "originals".

I dunno. We are at a very interesting crossroads right now. Viewers are changing. The online video business is changing. Maintaining the status quo is NOT going to drive growth for us.

So at some point soon here we are going to have to reinvent ourselves again.

Let's see what we come up with.....
