HD 7850 is as good at TITAN X

I'll have you know we had a Win 98 machine with a 1, 2, and massive 8 GB HDD  

Pritorities.. people won't mind the 7700, but a TITANX vs a 980Ti is a bigger dick.

A i5-7600K would be worse than a i7-4790K. A i7-7700K would be better, yes, but considering that a i7-4790K is only marginally behind the i7-7700K and the cost of upgrading everything is going to be pricey, I'd just stick with simply upgrading to a i7-4790K and put the rest of the saved money towards a new GPU.

My x58 rig is still LIT af breh. Plays all the games.

Did any of you enjoy this game as much as I did? Oddly, it seems many of my friends do not share my same enthusiasm. I know graphics aren't everything, but this level of detail just blew me away (click to enlarge): 
 

If all he does is game, then the i7-4790K is more than adequate. Moving to Ryzen would be unnecessary.

On my ThinkPad GTA V has like an 8 second input lag, not eight milliseconds, eight full seconds.

Just get the R5 1600, not worth it paying extra for the 1600X, they all OC the same.
 
4.0GHz seems to be the ceiling most of the time.
If you are lucky you can do 4.1GHz and if you are very lucky then maybe 4.2GHz.
3.9GHz should be achievable on most of the CPUs unless you are very unlucky.

Do the deal, except write on a piece of paper, GTX 970, in smaller letters under it's self, go fuck yourself.

It can still easily overclock well enough to trade blows with a 480/580.

The FX8350 has twice as many cores as a 7700k, therefore it's twice as good. 

Most 480s can't do much better than 1400.
 
ASIC score doesn't mean much. 

Hate to break up the circle, but how about some recent benchmarks? Spoiler, the 1060 wins.

Nope, gave up at 1.4v. Just an unlucky pull. But at 3.8 I haven't found the basement of voltage yet,
