AshleyKitty123 got a reaction from JabroniBaloney in Can the kitty ears for the Razer Kraken be used on the Hyperx Cloud Alpha?
    Hi everyone!
I was wondering if the razer kitty ears made for the Kraken would fit on the Cloud Alpha cause the 2 have pretty similar headbands.
    Thanks in advance! ~

AshleyKitty123 got a reaction from Mattias Edeslatt in How to adjust memory timings on a laptop.
    Hi everyone!
I recently started doing some tweaking on my laptop and i've noticed there are no memory settings in the bios, not even xmp. I want to tune my dimms to run at CL:9 timmings and possibly overclock them to 1866Mhz. Is there any other way to alter/ adjust memory frequency and timings on a laptop?
    Thanks in advance!~

Just because they look the same doesn't mean they are the same. If they are different and you install them there is a risk of malfunctioning an posably destroying the card. Probably not, but still not a good idea.

If it works fine now then I wouldn't try doing anything. As they say if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Seems like that might have electrolytic caps. Well, to be honest, you should save on a new PC or at least hold some money back because that rig might die soon. The Geforce 8000 series is prone to failure du to the shitty leadfree solder, that caused millions of things (or rather hundreds of millions of things) to die.
And the same applies to the MPC6x Chipsets as well...

So that is pretty much at the end of its life...

Anyway, if you don't have high profile Mmeory and use the standard uncooled STandard Memory, you could also think about the NH-L12 as well.

Yeah, it should. And if you don't use it in an ITX/SFF Enviroment and have a bit more space for the Fan, I'd sugest that you also order a good quality 92x25mm fan to replace the stock 92x14mm one.

Same with the NH-L12 as well, if you order it and don't use it in a Small Form Factor enviroment, replacing the stock 120x14mm fan with a 120x25mm fan is also recommended.

Because the thicker fans have much higher airflow at the same or lower noise. So it will be quieter and have lower temperatures as well.

But to be honest, I'd look if you can get hold of this heatsink:
    https://geizhals.de/be-quiet-shadow-rock-tf-2-bk003-a1629017.html?hloc=de

But for that CPU; every somewhat OKish Heatsink should be fine.
Depending on what 4400+ we are talking about of course, there are like 3 different versions of that...

    This may help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vUd8hQbSWE
It shows a tool to raise the power limit and avoid power throttling (up to a certain point). I'm not sure if it'll work, but at least it's a start

if the board doesnt POST, you'll need to flash the bios with some sort of external tool, no way around that.

They are both good performers. The X5690 has a higher TDP, but people seem to reach 4.9Ghz quite easily: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/16752/IntelR-XeonR-CPU-----------X5690----347GHz

The X5650 performs 10% less when comparing the best overclocks http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/355/IntelR-XeonR-CPU-----------X5650----267GHz

I personally went for an X5675 due to the low price and TDP, and I'm stable at 4.4GHz.
