From personal experience I have had much better luck with my sigma / tamron lenses rather than Sony. The lower end sony lenses tend to be very “soft” in the corners. You might consider waiting till tamron annouces their prime lenses later this month as I have been extremely happy with the 17-28 f2.8 and 28-75 f2.8 they released. In some cases these lenses have out performed the Sony version of these lenses as I have shot with both. As far as rokinon lenses, maybe it’s just my bad luck but I have had to return them a few times because I could never get razor sharp focus on them. I’ve seen a few people had the same issue and they say their quality control is lacking.

The Dell UP2516D and UP2717D are both good 1440p options. Pick up a X-Rite i1Display Pro as well to calibrate the hardware LUT.

Budget, resolution, and screen size requirements? Do you need wide gamut or is accurate sRGB good enough for you? Do you make money doing this, or is this purely a hobby?
 
Regardless of what you choose, budget $150-200 for a colorimeter to calibrate your display.

Anyone have any good suggestions for a computer case that will hold at least 8 HDD's for a home server/NAS I am building? I have all of the parts I need I am just missing the case (the one I have no is god awful). 
 
 

Definetly ryzen 1700. Ryzen 1700 1700x 1800 are the same cpu with diffirent clocks sure 1800 might overlock to 4,1 ghz but you should be able to get 1700 to 3,9ghz which is.bassicly the same no point in buying 1700x as its performance can be achieved.by slightly overclocking 1700

Nope. There's nothing you need to do for the RAM
 
for the GPU use DDU to uninstall all drivers and shut down. then plug it in, and install Nvidia drivers from their website.

Un install your current graphics drivers before installing the new 1070 (Isnt required but it can help stop any possible driver issues). Other than that its as simple as plug and play for both the gpu and ram.
