A board only affects its use with things like PCIe slot config, USB and TB3. As far as running the CPU is concerned, gaming or pro board doesnt matter.

"GAMING" motherboard is just an illusion.
That board would perform just the same.
It looks pretty as well.

it was designed for a specific look, it is all white and clean looking. it's not really bad for your purposes, just a little expensive

dav94 got a reaction from Yebi in Fractal Meshify C (White) - I painted the expansion slot covers
The Fractal Meshify C I have was the white case version, but the case expansion slot covers were originally black, so I decided to paint them to match the case so it would look nicer to me
I used rustoleum 2x ultracover - semi gloss paint, and satin clear coat spray. and some 400 grit sandpaper to remove the initial gloss and to scuff up the paint for better adhesion of the paint
I think it looks fantastic now. I'm not good with painting but I think it turned out great.

dav94 got a reaction from freeagent in Meshify C - need advice for fan placements
I have 2 140MM fans in the front and a single 120MM fan in the rear currently in my build, using a Noctua NH-U12S to cool my ryzen 3700x. and I have the extra fans already in storage from previous builds. but I was pondering if this placement. would work to better cool the case with more airflow.

having a 120mm up top blow in is not common
it might create turbulence, and suck in hot air that the other fan exhaust to the top
try 2 140mm in, 1 rear 120 out, 1 rear top 120mm out

I'll try that fan placement
