580 will be better for long term, 1060 6g now if you're impatient.

I got myself an ASUS Strix RX580 the week they came out, I had been planning my build for a long time and then I got that for less than $300. I'm so glad I didn't wait.

Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but if you are using an NVMe M.2 SSD you boot times shouldn't be slow. I do remember hearing in a JayzTwoCents video that Ryzen takes a long time to POST on the first boot up, but other than that I know nothing.

A 1060 will have a hard time at 4K trying to get a stable 60 FPS, a 1080/1080Ti would be needed...

You'd have more power with a PS4. Not to sound like a jerk but that CPU is 2 platforms old (not that bad? It is when you consider their previous platform is from 2012). Its ancient and will likely game like crap. 460 is a good entry level card but anything cpu intensive its going to fall over.

    Get a G4560 and a H110 mobo.

Also your RAM sounds like it is DDR4 which will be incompatible with an old platform. DDR4 works with what I suggested though.

Cyndre1033 reacted to rijzen in Just a thank you to everyone here
So I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here who helped me figure out my build, I started with the i7 7700k and my GTX 1070 and I ended on a R5 1600 with the 1070 and I could not be happier ( it's all about the 1 percent frames for me). I play mostly MMOs and ARPGs and switching not only improved fps in clustered player areas but my thermals are also well under control (3.95ghz @ 1.35v. 58c max under prime 95 small ffts vs 94c on the i7) I know the i7 gives better overall fps but in my situation even at 5.0ghz it choked in some games. Strangely I went to a higher end b350 board vs x370 due to availability and price and I gotta say the MSI b350 gaming pro carbon was solid out of the box and even better after bios update. Long story short, don't be afraid of ryzen it really is solid stuff if combined correctly.

Say giving someone guidance by saying 16:9 is square doesn't make much sense. Also you don't need to get your jimmies rustled over me "farming content," which is stupid because I have been on this site for around 8 months and don't even have 400 posts. I apologize if you felt like I wasn't contributing to the conversation, and I'm sorry, but I really feel like your response was unnecessary.
