Hey guys,

so I'm trying to become a member of the gaming community. Since I don't have a lot of money, I'm limited to the things I could get from my friends and family (what they had at spare). That means a 550W Power Supply (should be reasonable!?) and a nVidia GTX 750 Ti (Not great, but ok for the beginning i think). I also found an old mouse and keyboard and a case. All I need is a Mainboard, CPU and RAM (or did I forget anything?) The main thing I'm concerned about is the CPU. I decided to take an AM3+ MB and CPU, since it is really cheap, now that AM4 is out. Do you think a FX-8350 is overkill? Is the FX6300 enough? I really dont want the CPU to be the bottleneck (since that will be the GPU until i have enough money to buy a better one) but the Price difference is 40€. I don't think there is anything to say about MB and RAM, but I will post the specs since there may be something I overlooked. RAM: 1x Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR3 1600 MT/s  MB: Asrock 970 PRO3 R2.0

My budget is around 250€ for everything.

If you are reading until now: Thank you. There must be dozens of posts like this every hour.

i'd look for a 2-3 gen i5 and mobo rather than an FX system if you want used. also what 550w psu are you using?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I5's suck in the long term.I would get whatever i7 he can get( or it's xeon equivalent)

with a 750ti? it'll work just fine. even with a 1060 it shouldn't bottleneck too much. he can always upgrade to an i7 3770/e3 123x v2 in the future.

Look at his budget guys. Ryzen CPUs are way out of his reach.

110$ r3 1200

~100$ for MoBo (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813144047&cm_re=am4_motherboard-_-13-144-047-_-Product)

leaves 40$ for ram

Hey guys,

thank you very much for all your comments. I also looked up some stats about ryzen but I also thought it would be out of my reach, since most MB and RAM are way out of my budget. But I'm actually surprised what you found. I just gave up too early. All in all this will be more expensive, than the old system, but it comes with the advantage of being much more expandable in the future, if there will be the money to do so :) Thank you again for your time...
