Complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS), is just a technology that is used to create different integrated circuits, including the design and the process used to incorporate that into integrated circuits, including analog circuits. CMOS is technically the circuitry itself, which holds the BIOS instruction. The BIOS name originates from the Basic Input/Output System used in the CP/M operating system in 1975. It is the first software that the processor runs upon boot up, and used to test system components and is used to find boot loaders for the operating system. It is nothing more than a set of instructions that is used at first power on. This is a very rough summary and could be eloborated on much further and more in depth. If you have more want to learn more on them then I would definitely recommend researching them, as they are quite an interesting topic. Anyways if you have any further questions feel free to ask!

Samsung launches new 970 EVO and 970 PRO NVMe SSDs
Dylanc1500 replied to AlTech's topic in Tech News
Great now make them in U.2. Please, for the love of god. -
If I lived in the northlands I'd be garaging and climate controlling my trucks lol. I've lucked out with all of mine being 100% rust free. That wax definitely a good deal. I bough my 05 duramax for 17.5 with only 65k miles back in 2012. It has been amazing by how much the value of trucks has skyrocketed.

Yes, not enough PC building simulator.

My professor made us study that as "You are not leaving my class as though you are smarter than someone else, as they most likely know more about something else than you do".

Intel May Be Entering the Smartphone, Tablet and Wearable Chip Markets
Dylanc1500 replied to xriqn's topic in Tech News
Sweet, I would love to run XP on my phone (Natively). I guess I'm one of those outliers when it came to enjoying Windows Pocket PC/Mobile. -
So you would call them dumb for not knowing about the internal workings of a car? Jeez, so rude lol. Sorry, I my day has been long and boring and I felt the need. Honestly, I get the notion that a lot of the members fail to realize just how knowledgeable they are in comparison with the average consumer. I was talking today with a client and the gentleman kept referring to GB's and MHz interchangeably as though they were similar.

Well I would avoid putting a black light anywhere near your PC. While you're at it, since I feel bad, order yourself some hazmat supplies on me. Try getting the poor boy some help too, that's not healthy.

So it was you that spent $4500 at PornHub. I have been wondering where that charge came from!

What does thermal paste taste like? Is it toxic?
Dylanc1500 replied to Adorable Cat's topic in Off Topic
Highly depends on which thermal compound you are using. Some will honestly taste like straight up clay. -
That, my friend, appears to be a mud dauber wasp nest.

Well now I know what happens when I break a rule, no ban hammer, just a straight out ban take-down.

Asus vs Gigabyte vs Asrock Vs Biostar
Dylanc1500 replied to MasudRana's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Anytime! If you have any other questions about this reply back, or if anything else you can send me a message. -
Yes which put a restrictions on them being able to use a product from the competition. By staying "period" I didn't mean they couldn't all of the competition's products. NVidia (from what we have seen so far) hasn't put any restriction on what, or how much, of the compitions products can be used. I should have clarified my statement further but I'm on my phone and I'm trying to be quick about it. @Razor01 you might be able to elaborate further for me, if you wouldn't mind edit:oops my bad you already beat me.

The big difference being intel said that you couldn't carry the competition period. What NVidia is saying is "hey, we want to be branded differently than our competition". So far nothing has shown otherwise, everything we have seen has been assumptions and people making their own conclusions. If there has been anything actually showing otherwise then please, by all means, correct me.

Asus vs Gigabyte vs Asrock Vs Biostar
Dylanc1500 replied to MasudRana's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Honestly with that chipset you should just base your decision off of the features that you require. They are all going to perform the same (within margin of error) as each other, with the only real differences being feature sets. -
AMD's official "eff you GPP" response: A Gamer's Choice
Dylanc1500 replied to captain cactus's topic in Tech News
So there isn't anything actually stating that NVidia is telling partners that their current existing brand has to be used exclusively for NVidia only? So from what has actually been shown, technically their partners could have created an entirely new line up exclusively for NVidia and left the current for AMD, correct? @Razor01 @pas008and @Misanthrope could any of you guys inform me if I am missing something? Sorry ahead of time for all the tags.
