    Huh, that's weird.

And I'm guessing capping it in-game doesn't work? I've capped it at 60 Hz refresh rate (in the settings in GTA V), and the game was quite choppy, but the Xbox Game Bar whatever overlay still showed 170+ FPS. It was choppy though, but maybe GTA's limit implementation is broken?

Holy shizz dude it's completely true. I limited the FPS in RivaTuner to 60, no lag. Limited to 144, no lag. Limited to nothing and it stutters like crazy.

WHAT THE. I'm honestly speechless. I never thought having a "too good" PC could cause this.. Thanks a lot, my guy!

there's a bug in the RAGE engine that will SEVERELY affect your frame rate if it goes above ~170ish.  Use riva tuner to cap the frame rate to 165.  That's what i have to do

Edit: Can't remember the specific Framerate that wakes this bug up.  But it's been well documented over the years

Hello people of Linusland, you might recognise me from SFFland!

Thought I would show my Lone L5 build here in all of its glory. It's a tiny little monster I use for my typography/graphic design practice, works like a dream! Plus it's slient! I went with this setup due to the desktop being able to fit into a backpack which is handy to have if you do design. I hope to add another M.2 in the near future.

I've currently got it paired with a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13, but a note to GPU manufacters. Please add a USB Type C port onto a Low Profile GPU so I don't have to use the Wacom link please.

    Parts List:
    Case: Lone L5
    Case Fans: Noctua NF-A8 Chromax

PLEASE make an original Mac Pro casemod video. There are many online, but none are detailed.
You can buy relatively cheap mods (basically aluminum brackets), so you can install various things, such as 240mm water coolers, and so on.

This is not an easy task, but I would love to see Alex and Anthony (my two favorites) work on a Mac Pro Hackintosh. It's literally a display piece if you make it right.

Cut the side so you can fit a glass or plexiglass side panel instead, while still using the original side panel.

    I guarantee millions of views.

I run it at 4.8 GHz when I need to run certain tasks. 4.0 GHz is my everyday overclock, as I don't need the extra 800 MHz for every single task.
The fact that you blame it on me like that, proves you're a narrow minded thinker.

The temperature is not a problem for me right now, so I guess I'll just have to wait before I send it in. They do offer 5 years warranty, which is quite nice to be honest.

Snorlax reacted to Sakkura in Does LTT upscale their videos from 1080p to 4K?
That's all good, the point is they're mostly just trying to "hack" a better-quality 1080p video. If you downscale a 4K video to 1080p and upload to Youtube, it will look a certain way. If you upscale it back to 4K and upload to Youtube, it will look better. Not because the actual video file gets any better by being upscaled from 1080p to 4K (the extra information was lost, permanently, in the downscaling process), but because Youtube gives it a higher bitrate.

Yeah he does apparently. Although it's the same sensor as the RED Epic Dragon.

They have to upscale it again, otherwise YouTube wouldn't show the 4K option. You cannot upload a 1080p video and it will say 4K on YouTube. It's simply not possible.

Snorlax got a reaction from ShadowCaptain in Does LTT upscale their videos from 1080p to 4K?
Exactly. I really honestly think they spend waaay too much time thinking this through. They should shoot at 4K, edit at 4K, forget all about downscaling anything, and just ignore that scrubbing through video takes a bit longer, like it does for anyone who edits 4K anyway.

Snorlax reacted to ShadowCaptain in Does LTT upscale their videos from 1080p to 4K?
Yup they seem to think it will be "as sharp" that way, they also seem to upload at a terrible bit rate and their colour grading is shit

maybe they do it to speed up rendering and editing....seems silly when he has all those staff

thats why I record all my videos at 220mbps pro res, instead of the WANK 25mbps my camera records at

yes this is fair, but it will make better looking 1080p content...

Nono, I'm sure they use their 4K camera, but they shoot at 1080p downscaled from 4K. At least for their normal work. It's no way near 4K quality.

Yes this is 100% correct. YouTube will give the video a higher bitrate at a higher resolution, but the actual quality compared to native 4K will not be the same.

I think we all can agree, that LTT should step up their video quality game. I am tired of watching 1080p quality videos when I press 4K. I'm not complaining, I would just like 4K to be 4K and not upscaled 1080p.

The switches just connects the circuits, so surely it could work if you connect each circuit..? This honestly made me kind of mad.

You are You need to look at amperage when you want faster charging. Wattage tells nothing about how fast something charges, as it's just V * A. Voltage times Amperage.
Always look at amperage. As long as it's USB, it will never exceed 5 volts, so you should be fine.
