Guess I'll share my fun cars.

Mustang GT, cammed Cobrajet, support, revs to 8500 RPM. There was a guy on the mustang6gforums that had this build, and ran 10's at my local track, so I copied his parts list. All the "JDM" stuff on it is supposed to be ironic. For a few reasons. LOL. Bring the hate.

Other car is an Evo X, cammed, Precision 6266, support. 9000 RPM. 700 WHP is the goal if I ever get it dyno'd. Had this car since 2015.

As you can tell, I love RPM. I was a Honda head growing up, and had them all, including an AP1 S2000. Infact I owned the S2000 when I bought the Evo, and much preferred it driving the Evo due to the powerband. When the Evo was stock power falls off at 5500 RPM or so. Well, I chose parts to fix that issue.

If the market wasn't stupid, I'd get a C7Z06 or Ferrari 360. I started to make that move in 2019, and I passed, to build both of these cars as they were both stock at the time. Now that that's done, both cars I was looking into in 2019 are 15-20K average more than in 2019. They're not any less affordable per se, but I'm not getting ripped off with these "supply and demand" games. A C7 is in low supply, when all the hype is around the C8? Same question for a 20+ year old Ferrari? Get outta here with this BS.

Get it dynoed and tune it there, please

    Otherwise, nice builds man.

Sure would be a fun first car. Too bad they're not that common and way more expensive here... It's almost the same formula of the 106 GTi (if you disregard the DS3R), smol car, decent power, but in 2012 terms and not 1990s where you threw a proper engine into a matchbox and called it a day.

So as much as I want to hate the Citroen DS3 Sport (1.6THP ~160bhp), I really can't. Seems honestly like it might be a good choice for a first car as I can get a 2012 one with <125,000km on it for less than €6000. Insurance is pretty cheap, it ain't bad on gas, and is probs pretty fun. Tho it's on the top end of my budget so idk if I'd want to spend that much ngl. And I've had literally 0 work hours these last months cause of Corona halting everything. ://

Because the autos generally were the "premium" option
The Aisin-Warner they used isn't half bad
Honestly a golf would be a good option in gothenburg. Less worry about parking.

If go with black tbh. Not sure any other color would look that good with the silver exterior.

    Underrated drift cars.
3rd and 4th gen GM F body (Camaro, Firebird)
Somewhat cheap and good to go right out the gate with very few mods.
C4 Corvettes. Similar but a bit pricier.
But let's face it. Probably still cheaper than the established drift cars because of drift tax.
    Opel Manta GSI
Volvo 740 is already kinda popular but i don't know about overseas.
Cheap, Easy to work on, Engine bay is large enough for most swaps but the 16v turbo is quite good already. Hell its a better choice than the SR20 here.
Mercedes benz 190E 2.3 - 16v. It was built for rallying. Need i say more.
Not that i hope anyone actually picks up on this because drift tax is fucking atrocious

That seriously narrows down your options xD
But since you mention it, look for Golf V's with the 1.4 TSi engine. The 140hp version, not the 170hp (GT trim), those are known to crack heads (or at least I read some cases that that happened). Twin charged, plenty reliable, economical and you can get some decent numbers off of it if you start investing into the engine.
But don't be fooled, the 1.4 TSi with 125hp IIRC is only turbo and not twin charged, those came in newer cars anyway, 2007 onwards.

EDIT: I was forgetting about the Mercs, the Kompressor ones, but obviously they're Mercs and you know what that means maintenance pricing wise.

Providing maintenance is kept up with them theyre a solid car, parents had one for a couple years before getting an R56. The supercharger noise never gets old
