I think this is my last straw. Unsubbed from everywhere. to have a place of employment where employee has to injure themselves to take sick days. Awfull deplorible

Linus and ltt should be ashamed. We need more employees to come forward and expose this shit show and unionize.

    Sorry I edited my comment.

I take back what I wrote actually sorry, either you are really a horrible human being or just a young naive and immature person still in highschool. The legal system doesn't need to be involved everywhere. You are aware you can be legally not guilty of something but still be guilty of the action you done.... you realise that right? It's irrelevant to the point.

And how is it pointless and harmful? If what she says is 100% true but they cannot prove it in court, how the F is it pointless to air it out and let the truth be out there? Do you understand what it takes to pursue legal matter and how much money it cost? Of course you don't or else you wouldn't be writing such comments.  I used to think like you when I was a kid a few years back but now I've matured and learned a lot about life. The system is rigged against you in the first place for most things.

It's amusing to me because you can understand why people (yourself) spend big money on screwdriver but cannot understand why people spend big money on bags.

I can point to you a $5 ratchet screwdriver that does everything the LTT screwdriver does but maybe less 'good feeling' material/mechanism. Sure your $20 Nike bag can carry whatever the LTT bag carries but you are not looking at the feel, apperance, the material, the extra small pockets here and there to carry small stuff, the airtag pouch, the water resistance, the comfortable straps, the rigidity of the bag, the interlocking zippers, the RDID passport pouch, the luggage handle detachable strap, the suede glass pocket, the back mesh venting, the water resistant zippers, the metal strap adjuster etc.

Are you sure your $20 Nike bag has ALL these features? I doubt so. Take a picture and upload it here for everyone to judge.

Gona chime in here given i have owned several decent quality backpacks over the years (LL.Bean, Columbia Sportswear, Kelty, Eddie Bauer, Jansport)

First off, Quality is everything when it comes to a good bag. I have been using the same Colombia Sportswear bag for the past 10 years, the fact that I can throw 3 laptops in it, carry it comfortably on my back and then the next day, empty it and use it as a carry on bag and fly overseas for vacation is everything.  The fact that it has lasted 10 years of daily use and I am only now thinking about replacing it due to the fact that the LTT Bag has some additional creature comforts should be a testimate to the fact that quality is everything.  Yes, I spent about 150 on this bag brand new.  Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.  Your average backpack you give your child you typically expect to last about a year.

Doing some basic math, 150/10=15.  This same bag has cost me 15$ a year.  Your average backpack like the type your claiming to have spent money on where you will probably end up needing to replace it every so often has probably cost less than your average backpack.  And to people saying your an adult, you probably treat the bag nice.  Nope, I don't, this bag has gone flying off the trunk of my car twice, been stuffed into overhead bins on airplanes, left outside in drenching rain, crammed under airplane seats, and dragged accross dirt and gravel. And that was in its first year of ownership.

Second is comfort.  Having a bag that when its fully on your back doesn't feel like it's digging into your shoulders or trying to decapitate you is everything when you use it day in and day out.  Having something where it is designed in such a way you can carry everything you need and not feel stress and still be able to carry on with life is amazing.

Third is more specific to the ltt bag.  That is who it was designed for.  The LTT Bag may not be designed for you, It was designed by a techie, for techies. As someone who is a techie and is constantly digging to the bottom of my bag and emptying it to find that one missing flash drive, having something that is purpose built to visible like that is worth the extra 20-30$ in added materials.  Having something that will fit my laptop, my work laptop, a change of clothes, my meds, some basic tools, and additional peripherals that i need for my daily life is amazing. Having something that is able to have that all organized and able to be found at a moment's notice, priceless.  Sometimes having the right tool for the job makes all the difference.

Going back to that, would this be the right backpack for my outdoorsman brother who is carrying buckets of water and dirt back and forth all day, no. And he doesn't have this bag for that reason, he was given a bag designed to do that task (yes, a backpack you can carry a 5 gallon bucket in exists, no i don't remember the name of it).

The point of the ltt bag was to design a quality item for a niche crowd that often gets ignored by the companies who make quality backpacks.  And that's exactly what it does.

You clearly just don't understand the difference between a well made, well thought out product vs a cheap product or a product with perceived quality. There is no point anyone trying to explain to you because you clearly don't want to understand. You have made up your mind and that's that.

The car analogy is a good one and it further proves you refuse to listen to others. If you think a BMW or a Mercedes is a much nicer car than a Ford, Honda, Mazda, Peugeot etc then you're easily fooled. Mercedes charge a premium for the brand but get inside the car and you'll find cheap plastics, awful touch controls, storage compartments that clearly had 0 thought put into them, small boots and atrocious engines, especially the diesels. BMW are better but still charge a premium over other brands for no extra value. For example the Mazda3 wipes the floor with the 1 Series but guess which is more expensive.

I don't have the LTT bag because I can't justify the price (plus shipping it to the UK) vs the benefit I'd personally get from it. However if I started travelling more and needed a bag it'd be the first one I chose? Could I get a better one for less? Potentially, but there is no guarantee. I trust LTT, they've proven time and time again they are dedicated to doing things correctly and providing quality products. They have extensively demonstrated the bag to the point where I am confident it is a quality product. I could take the plunge and order a cheaper one but the straps might not be comfortable, the zips might leak, the compartments inside might not be how I need them. LTT have spent the money marketing the bag so let the target audience know exactly what the bag is like and that all contributes to the price (making videos isn't free).

*looks at user* "I may get answers wrong"

You may also get the entire suppositions of your posts wrong.

First:  There have been multiple independent reviews of the LTT Screwdriver vs other drivers.  It went toe to toe with other drivers that are in the 50-150$ range.  It costs 70 bucks, cuz it's not a cheap object.  LTT Literally spent 3 years researching it and getting it to their demanding requirements.

Second:  250$ Backpacks exist.  They existed before LTT ever made one, lol.

    https://www.goruck.com/products/gr2?variant=39317725249636&currency=USD

I don't know the brand (I've never followed backpacks) but it's 400 bucks on it's own for a 26L Backpack, which is clearly a lot more than the LTT Pack.

The people I've heard of with the backpack have generally been very happy with it, so I'd say that's a positive.

Just because a product exists doesn't mean it needs to be made for you.  Clearly these are not.

I can afford the backpack, but I'm not interested, therefore I'm not the target audience. I am, however, very tempted by the screwdriver.  I kinda want one of those.

So, yes, they're expensive, but that's life sometimes.  Deal with it.

LMG seems like a good group of people and they seem focused on not working with factories that exploit their workers, so buying a higher quality and priced product you support the team that makes LTT content and not supporting terrible labour practices, and for some people morals and ethics are worth paying for.

Yes, you can get cheaper products with similar features, but are they of the same quality?

Think about cars.  Honda and BMW both make sedans.  They have wheels and can drive you to work.

OMG WHY DOES THE GERMAN CAR COST SO MUCH MORE, THEY BOTH ARE 4 WHEEL CARS, IT'S THE SAME THING.

    Stuff Be Expensive.

I guess I don't understand the point of this thread.  Yes, there are things that are expensive.  Sometimes it's because of quality and sometimes it's because of branding.  You are under no obligation to purchase any of those items.

I think it's stupid to pay thousands of dollars for a purse but I don't go to their stores and demand to know why they cost that much.

Well buy that cheaper backpack then.  This argument is the equivalent of saying why buy a Samsung s23 ultra for $2000 when I can get a Nokia C02 for $165. Yes they are both android phones but they have wildly different specs and builds to each other.

I have the LTT backpack and while it is on the more expensive side of backpack world, for it is worth it and I would buy it again.
Build quality has been excellent, it holds everything I need for my day, the layout works well for me and it's one of the most comfortable backpacks for long times wearing that I have used. Although this is my personal experience and may not apply to others.

I disagree with this. Quality takes time and money, and those are not simple products to produce, especially for a smaller team like LMG (compared to Apple).
Along with RnD and the price of materials, you are supporting the LMG, so that's always nice.

The worst thing about LTT Store is transcontinental shipping, but that's a whole other can of worms.

I have a question for you, do you have children?
As a father of several myself (for a sufficient enough time to call myself experienced) and having carpentry experience your concerns may have a small validity but they are vastly overstated. Children are not going to ingest splinters, at least not to the degree that would result in any injury.
The fire thing is about as mythical as it gets, children will never be able to apply enough stress to create enough friction to produce the heat to start a fire. I can negate any theories to this as an experienced carpenter, engineer and other sources.
The last point you make is very unlikely, the worst that would be produced would be a minor rash effect or minor splinter at best, easily removed with a pair of tweezers and cleaning with peroxide or a little isopropyl alcohol to prevent infection.

I feel your concerns come from a lack of understanding of how wood (in this case plywood) is made and interacts with its environment. Granted children are hard on things, yes, I know from my own experience but I don't believe I have ever had to deal with any of these things you are concerned over with my own children and their wooden toys either bought from the store or made by me.

There is a better chance your concern come from a pov from ignorance and having a state of concern for others without knowing better. I don't judge but your concerns are far from worth the effort you applied.

    *edit I forgot to add.
As an FYI to the OP, wood naturally splinters regardless of the type of wood, and its use. 90-95% of wood splintering has no immediate or subsequent damage involved. Also, wood requires a lot of energy to combust, otherwise it would not be used as a building material.

As an experienced father I can tell you children are much more resilient than you are making out to worry over (if you're a new parent is understandable) but I will tell you and you will learn, this is unwarranted. I was a new father as well of course and I had concerns but remember your concern will always be more heightened until you discover how to balance it overtime. Children bounce so let them bounce.

We've gone through a battery of safety certifications and tests. I'm super not worried about this.

Also my kids had plenty of plywood-based toys. A couple splinters came off here and there and it was okay. Again, not worried about this.

Thanks so much for flagging this for us, though. We take the safety of our products EXTREMELY seriously, which is why this one has taken so long to bring to market.
