Mmmm, may I ask what PSU you have?
I would suggest RWA that PSU and get a higher graded PSU.
Good luck!

I thought so, It has a better upgrade path as well, right? (LGA 1151) and the AM3+ Is dead
Also, can I overclock It? I know It has no K, but I just have heard you could??

i5 6500. Games prefer fewer, more powerful cores and it also utilises DDR4.
AM3+ is a dead socket whilst Skylake still has an upgrade path with Kaby Lake.
You can with BCLK overclocking which is achieved with certain BIOSes on Z170 motherboards. I just wouldn't advise doing it for i5s and above.

Make sure your drivers are up to date.

Much better, although it's a bit overkill if you're not planning on Crossfiring or SLI'ing.

They you should 100% upgrade to a 4th or 6th gen Core i5 CPU with that GPU upgrade.

Even if there was (there isn't), you shouldn't limit yourself to lower performance for the sake of a few FPS.

yeah, the 8350 is a waste of time, and would likely bottleneck most modern GPU's. Go with a 6400. I'll probably look at upgrading to a 6500 from my 6100 in a year or two though.

Go with the 1060. 970 is no longer a good card considering that the less expensive 1060 has more VRAM and gets more frames.
If you want to upgrade now, go with the 6400 and GTX 1060.
If you want to wait until Zen, I'd get just the 1060.

Yep
BCLK overclocking is... interesting, but certainly possible
