The new Cooler Master Devastator II might be what you're looking for. It's only about $60/60€ for a fullsized membrane (they call it mem-chanical because it comes with Cherry MX compatible sliders over rubber domes) and a mouse aswell. I'd say it's good bang 4 buck, the keyboard is RGB but if you don't like the lights then you can always turn them off.

If you like aggressive marketing and supporting a company that spends more on the packaging than on the product, by all means, go Razer, but there is not one thing Razer makes that someone else doesn't make better.

Case feet are now on! Painted in gun metal and the hole increased to M6 thread so it is supported on the case.

I also got the back of the keyboard milled out a little. This is so I can put my Adafruits breakout board in place for the female Mini USB connection!

I then got some touch up paint to colour the milled area back in.

Now I just have to make a USB breakout board to Mini USB for the internal connection and we are nearly good to go! Just waiting on the springs (Have landed in the UK) to turn up! Then it is just the keycaps!

Well I got the stuff from the powder coaters and I am so happy with the results! They look unbelievable!

I got the little cone case feet done. Albeit, I have no scratched one up accidentally trying to get the bolt in as they accidentally painted the thread...

The overall finish is awesome though! Its got this awesome sparkle to it all which just glistens!

You can see in the image above the custom routing work and the countersunk holes!

Just a quick image of the backside of this! Its looking great!

EDIT: I have now ordered some 65g springs for my MX blues and 100g springs for my greens!

Tomorrow I will be collecting my keyboard from the painters. It has been painted gun metal grey and finished with a Satin lacquer. The reason for the satin lacquer is because the matte finish previously scuffed far too easily!

I also decided to make use of the aluminium case feet I bought off Massdrop. They came with a silly little M4 bold. So I have had that bored out and re-tapped to M6 to match that of the Tex Keyboard case. This has also been sprayed a matching gun metal grey!

Before sending the keyboard case to the painters I had some modifications to it as I have had issues with its design. First off I countersunk the holes for the bolt for the case feet to sit flush as there isnt much space between the case and the PCB. I then got a section for the Teensy controller/ cable routed out so it would not put pressure onto the PCB. This has helped a lot with the pressure it was putting onto the overall board (This flexed my previous plate slightly out of shape).

The keycaps are delayed because of issues at Signature plastics (When arent there delays there...), so I have decided to work on the weighting of the switches. I am a heavy typer and want to add some more resistance to my keys. I am currently using blues and greens on the boards as I love the tactility of them! So I am thinking of upgrading the blues to 65g springs and the greens to 85g springs. What do you think? Will these be a good enough resistance or should I go heavier? I am possibly thinking heavier on the greens. These are set as my modifiers and are greens to stop me pressing them accidentally!

Yeah? That's part of the reason that they're so popular. Just make sure you get a good one, not some crap gaming board. Also, if you forgo LEDs, the board will likely last much longer, since you won't have to worry about the possibility for LED failure.

Allow human slim to build up and bacteria to bread until it attains sentience. Sell to Russia as a bio weapon, use funds to buy a new mouse mat.

I don't know of any black frame/case RGB keyboard with white keycaps... your best bet would be to simply buy a regular all black RGB board and then buy a new keyset separately, something like a White Vortex doubleshot PBT/POM set or even a Ducky keyset.

Or you could look for something like this in the classifieds (r/mech market and GeekHack).

It never really was the top. It was one of the best gaming boards, I guess, but really, even an old cherry G3000 is a better board....

Pretty much not a single mechanical keyboard from a well known "gaming peripherals" brand can be considered as "top tier", sorry.

Take a look at the Logitech G403. It has the PWM3366 sensor, which is the best one on the market, it's lightweight (unlike the G502) and the shape kind of resembles Zowie's EC lineup. It's coming out soon™.

The Rival 300 has improved sidegrips; mine's been holding up nicely for a year and there's almost no visible wear.

Yeah. So many questions on this sub like "Blackwidow or K70"  when keyboards are so subjective you can't really say without having tried everything.

Speaking of which, I need some better switches. And a soldeing iron.

    Hello.
Being a mechanical keyboard enthusiast maybe I can give you some directions / places to look at. Take a look at these well-known forums:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/
    https://geekhack.org/index.php
    https://deskthority.net/

They are Reddit's sub-section dedicated to mechanicals, GeekHack which is a very well known forum dedicated to the hobby and Deskthority which is another well known forum that's dedicated to mechanical keyboards aswell. You'll find some like-minded people in any of these and you can check their Wikis for help and guides. Feel free to ask any question related to the topic of mechanical keyboards in any of these websites and I'm sure someone will help you out.
