I dunno, I think some of these stories might be a bit exaggerated. But who
really knows unless you work there. I know they have fulfillment centers here in SoCal and in CA there are a LOT of worker rights and a labor board that makes it easy to file should stuff like that start happening...maybe they do this in right to work states, maybe it’s exaggerated, maybe it’s not. But I agree at least an investigation may be warranted.

Can it run the Crysis trilogy? That’s what’s I wanna know...cause if no, then why? Lol that’s ALOT of RAM for a phone.

Yeah this is STUPID!!! Who is going to make coolers to support this nonsense and how long are those gonna take to hit the market? Besides, typically we see 2 module slots on the smallest boards, and builds using those boards are typically completed by/for gamers that don’t need large amounts of RAM.

Not to mention you can move up from macro to micro sized boards that have 4 slots, buying a dual slot board and then using these large footprint modules kinda defeats the purpose of building a macro build....this makes no sense and I can’t imagine this being successful.

Qrtrmstr2k got a reaction from App4that in Titan X AGAIN!!! Yep, nVidia is keeping the name
I think AMD's announcement of Zen, and the new gpu's coming, plus the fact that it does seem that while AMD was ready a year ago with the asynchronous computing stuff (and got severely bottlenecked by Direct X 11)...that nVidia might be in some trouble this generation...that they might be having driver issues with Direct X 12 and Vulkan...I think they're scared. I think AMD has got them super scared and maybe they're unloading everything now, while it can still sell, because AMD might have them beat here...and once those cards drop from AMD, nVidia isn't gonna sell squat.

    Alex,

People have repeatedly told you that you need to go through each products spec sheet and choose which boards options you will like more. Everyone is going to have different opinions about companies products based on their experiences with those products they have actually used and maybe had to RMA (which is why people have also mentioned he support problems they have run into with Asus for example.

But it in this forum we don't generally get into pissing contests about products. We try and be as helpful and supportive as we can without any ketchup or mustard to pile on top.

That  being said, if you are just building a gaming rig, most of us are going to tell you the truth, X99 is a waste for gaming, Z170 is all you need. Even with dx12 and Vulkan coming, there is more than enough power on Skylake.

If you are wanting X99 to brag or for aesthetic reasons, then I would simply choose whatever is going to make you happy on how it looks. Ed10 does have a lot of RGB and colored stickers so you get a lot of aesthetic options. Probably the most of any board.

If you are going to be seriously overclocking this chip, you probably want to go with the Ed10 because Asus's high end boards are traditionally  known for helping achieve higher stable overclocks. But keep in mind you're still at the mercy of the silicon lottery and no board can make a bad overclocker magically become a good one.

It comes down to this, you can get a good solid sports car that's still high end and still flashy (like the Gigabyte) or you can go over the top and get a Ferarri with all the extra flashy and blingy stuff. Ultimately it's your decision, nobody needs a Ferarri, but some people can afford them and buy them.

So ya just gotta choose what you want and can afford. If money might run out, buy the Gigabyte and put the rest towards another gpu or a better monitor or a Vive or a gaming chair or something. If money isn't an option, get the Asus and start looking at peripherals and VR and stuff.

Qrtrmstr2k got a reaction from stconquest in LTT makes the cut...
To clarify, I actually said LTT and LMG in general has been pretty good about steering clear of the politics. Again, politics were just an example...I could have just as easily said "if suddenly we're getting back to back to back VLOG videos about nothing, things like I out this supercharger on my scooter today...." I will admit I did choose politics because for most of us here in the states, and especially for those of us in large markets, we get inundated with politics at election time...we can't get away from it, they are calling our houses (even if we registered on the do not call registry) it's in our feeds, emails, every commercial break, I mean it's really annoying that we get it rammed down our throats all day long every day, and the last week prior to Election Day, they really ramp up the noise.

I am sincerely curious about how people feel, where they draw the line, if it's enough to make you unsub a creators channel or do you just ignore it or what...do you use YouTube as a way to escape into something more enjoyable and prefer all of the other ketchup and mustard be left out? Do you not pay attention to it? How do various people look at it.

I very much appreciated. those who took this seriously, and I am also interested in those responses from outside the states. Someone posted about both not being from here and not caring at all, and that makes sense. I was a little shocked that people from around the world even know who the candidates are, generally we don't pay that much attention to elections outside of the states..and another response about how you are from the states and you just change videos without unsubbing...that's all, that's exactly the types of answers I am looking for and I appreciate those that did respond in kind.

There was no need for trolling, there are no dig on Linus or his company here, it's a simple question, if you don't have anything constructive or helpful to respond with, I'd prefer you not respond.

Qrtrmstr2k got a reaction from Remixt in MSI Vortex G65 Un-build Log
Might want to edit and add some text to the video again...unfortunately while not labeled or described clearly by MSI, those GPU's are IN FACT GTX 980m's, interestingly they each have 8GB VRAM instead of 4 on the full PC Cards but it doesn't make enough of a difference as it didn't beat a real 980 in a single test.

Linus said at least twice that they weren't the m (notebook) version. Here is a link for a review with benchmarks. This PC is NOT worth it's price tag.

    Pretty awesome tear down though.

You know, it's really very uncool of MSI. They are clearly, intentionally trying to mislead people, calling these 980's. They clearly aren't. Not only are they trying to scam with false advertising, they are screwing with your integrity and the integrity of your channel by giving you false information which you are disseminating to your subscribers. That's a serious NO-NO! And to think, as I am planning my next build I was looking at MSI boards...but I'm just gonna stick with ASUS, at least they don't need to falsify specs to get sales and results. It's shocking, they are clearly saying, even on their own site that these are full blown 980 gpu's...just, WOW!!
