It was ramping up all of my fans at once which triggered the OCP on my PSU and shut the whole thing down. I've had to sacrifice one fan for now (oh no!) while i wait for a splitter to come in, though I don't think that 5 fans will have any trouble cooling my pc.

This is where I generally put in a piece of cardboard (if there’s a fan next to it to prevent reciprocation) and simply ignore it. Quiet is good. Unless of course it knocks all the fans into spin in above 1000rpm and they weren’t before. That is a net negative. If 5 fans was popping your OCP though there is either something wrong with something fan related or you’re riding that OCP real close.
