  1. Thanks for the feedback. Always looking for ways to improve!
  2. We will make cables. They will be zero BS and awesome. It will take time.
  3. Yes but it will take some more time yet. For a variety of reasons we are unable to continue working with the original manufacturer so we have been searching for a new one that can meet the same standards of quality etc etc
  4. Luke laughs uncomfortably loudly
  5. no plans for a cat tree at this time. We wanted to do a teaser at one point, but no cat tree.
  6. This thread is baffling. I remember how this went down just fine. How many benchmarks did you want us to run on it to determine that it is, in fact, terrible. Would a couple more sticks of RAM taken it from 10/10 terrible to 9.8/10 terrible. Maybe. Who cares? It was just a fun little retrospective look at a shoddy product, not a personal attack on you or your favorite company. AMD is doing fine now. We can laugh about this. FX-7* was literally so bad throughout its entire life that no other motherboard manufacturer bothered to make motherboards for it. It wasn't an exclusivity deal. It was just still-born. Everyone from AMD and ASUS that remembers this absolute shit show knows it was terrible. If you think you know better than them, you're wrong. No offense, but reading this thread made my IQ lower.

    Paintball

All woodsball, no speedball, I'm afraid.
  8. We actually sold the original WAN hoodie through retail partners. There we advantages and disadvantages to this approach. As it stands right now I'm not aware of any any deals we have inked to sell our current stuff through any retailers, but who knows what the future will hold.
  9. I've got an email scheduled for the biz team for Monday. I'd like to get caught up on what happened here. I might've gotten our internal guidelines wrong on the WAN show. It's possible there's something about this sponsor (haven't looked into them yet) that makes them aligned with the conversations we've had in the past. It's also possible they screwed something up. I dunno. We'll figure it out and clarify next week. Linus
  10. We had a pay off (day off, but paid) yesterday. We all went to the arcade and played mini-golf. No one got any work done except Arthur I think, who wanted to record some vlog footage, and RIley who posted Techlinked
  11. In the context of the video we were making I would have thought it was pretty clear that I meant that it doesn't support it in the array. I can see i should have been more clear.
  12. They are hardwood. Red oak with a particular stain. I'd honestly recommend against hardwood tho. It costs so much and the durability sucks.
  13. Looks like the first year of subscription is mandatory for 8Sleep. I actually didn't realize this because I've been using mine without a subscription and I'm pretty happy with it. Wouldn't bother with the subscription. The price is certainly high - especially now that we factor in that the first year of subscription isn't included - but I was going based on my own "i dunno if this is necessary anyway" experience. I think we'll be re-evaluating any future collaborations with 8Sleep based on the community feedback regardless of my experiences with the product. I certainly didn't intend to mislead anyone or hide the subscription. I intentionally mentioned it very clearly at the beginning of the sponsored video.
  14. I would object to DMCA abuse anytime and anywhere it happens, regardless of my 'support' or 'non-support' of the work in question. As for the views and whatnot, it sounds like something for YouTube to figure out. I just work here
  15. The worst part of Apple's behavior here is the hardware totally supports it. Intel Macbooks running Windows can totally use MST. They just won't implement it in MacOS because.. I dunno... go eff yourself?
  16. I saw some hoodies in Creator Warehouse last time I was over there. I will have to follow up and find out for you.
  17. The bigger concern for me is that our desk pad is pretty thick for comfort and that could cause it to deform as you roll over it, making it 'walk' or move around on the floor over time. I don't think this would work very well
  18. The HT-A9 is fundamentally flawed as far as I can tell. When it works, it works great, but when it doesn't, it's infuriating. They need to patch it. I don't know if they ever will.
  19. My job is to make high quality, entertaining, informative content. If I have to bait people into watching it, but they enjoy the video and learn something then I don't feel bad. From my point of view, it's like putting a fun cartoon character on a pack of spinach to get kids excited to eat it. It works and now we all know about the importance of modular laptops so we can put pressure on mainstream manufacturers to respond to this threat to their crappy, unsustainable business models. Sorry, not sorry.
  20. Thanks for the concern everyone. We are still in recovery mode over here and working with YouTube to get everything restored. Will hopefully have a video (or at least an update on WAN Show) to share with you all ASAP, but we want to make sure we get the details right since smaller channels may rely on our experience to help harden their own security.
