Clarifiante got a reaction from vanished in 3000rpm fan for exhaust, is it madness?
ah yeah i do have an AC running most of the time when i'm home. ambient is nigh unbearable now.

the predator is a fairly thick rad and while i was assembling i decided to go push/pull and immediately saw temps go down as opposed to having only the vardars in push.

speedfan takes a little to setup but when you do... well let me just say if it will work with every motherboard from now on I will never switch

here is the guide that i used if you want to try:

Clarifiante got a reaction from Goat in What AIO cooler should I get?
predator 360, gives you the option of future expansion. i personally have one and am happy with it tho one of the fans has a slight issue but EKWB's support has been fairly responsive thus far.

another one is swiftech 320 x2, i've heard lots of ppl swear by swiftech. they give you the option to expand as well.

both are massive AIOs so you're going to have to make sure they fit in your case

Clarifiante reacted to Virtual01 in g-sync monitor <60fps noticeable
Gsync is absolutely not designed to make it so that you don't notice changes in FPS, no idea where you go that from. It's designed to eliminate screen tearing. 60 fps is still going to look less smooth than 90 no matter how you slice it.

Clarifiante got a reaction from armycombatvet7 in 980ti oc: have i reached my limit?
    greetings

i've got a 980ti windforce OC version (non-G1) and using MSI after burner i've managed to hit +190mhz core clock and +550 memory clock with the power limit at 104% (that's the maximum i can go). i've been running heaven unique engine to test the limits and it seems that the settings mentioned above are the maxmimum. if i increase the core clock even by 5, i either hardfreeze or the driver crashes.

i'm really curious if i can push it further so i read somewhere to increase the core voltage to +87mV and then try again from there but even then +190 core clock seems to the max, it made absolutely no difference for me. it still hardfroze a few mins into a heaven unique engine run. i really don't want to have to hard reset my system anymore until i get some, more professional opinions. is this the maximum my card will go? or am i doing something wrong? why isn't the voltage increase making a difference for me?

also is it bad to have both msi afterburner and the oc guru II on the same system?

    rest of the system:
    i5-6600k oc 4.6 ghz @ 1.38
    16gb 2400mhz ram
    850w platinum power supply
    maximus viii hero mobo
