After 9 years together @ANDuff and I decided it was time to get rings. We got matching rings made from Irish silver coins (we're from Northern Ireland).

New to the Forum. I came out 8 years ago, when I was 21. I'll never forget telling my mom. I was so nervous and she didn't know why. When I finally found the courage to say the words "I'm Gay Mom" her first response was "Oh thank God, I thought you were going to tell me you were dying or something."
Always though found it difficult to be a nerdy gay that is into tech, gaming, Sci-Fi, etc. Don't fit that masc or fem boxes that the community wants to try to fit us all in. How is the LGBT community on the forum? Always wondered if LMG has any LGBT persons in the company although it's really none of my business. Just would be nice to see more LGBT representation in the Tech world.

To be quite honest, from this entire post, it just legitimately sounds like you're just ignorant about the LGBTQ+ community. And by this I mean no offence. You're young, and when I was your age I was ignorant too, but I hope you're opening to learning more about this:
You say your friend had previously crushed on girls when they were younger, but now they seem to be presenting as feminine and/or saying that they identify as female. This can be confusing, for sure, but I hope you realize that their gender and their sexuality are not necessarily the same thing. Society is structured in a way that being straight is the automatic assumption, and it is extremely common for LGBTQ+ people to follow the societal norms before they realize that they're just lying to themselves (i.e. most gay guys I know, myself included, "dated" girls when they were young).
So perhaps they do identify as female, as they have their whole life, but they've just lied and held it back so that they can "fit in"?
Perhaps they do identify as female and they are also attracted to females or to both females and males (or other identities)?
If they've never identified as female, perhaps they're male but just enjoy expressing their feminine side?
What makes you believe that them coming out is fake? They said that they were the happiest they've been their entire life, could that be because they were finally able to express themselves as they've always felt?
And sorry, but no, people do not fake being in the LGBTQ+ community because they can't get a boy/girl friend. You can't change who you're attracted to, and if you don't believe me then I would suggest you trying to be gay.
And finally, it's not other people's fault that they don't like your homophobic jokes, it's your fault for making them. As someone who banters a lot with their friends, rule #1 is only do it to people you know can take it, otherwise, it's your fault and you look like a dick for making the jokes.
Again, no one is in the LGBTQ+ community to "shove it down your throat". Your claim is equivalent to "I don't like fake black people who are black to shove it down my throat".
How do you know that they faking it? Is that what they said? Could they perhaps, I don't know, have not been comfortable telling the truth about their sexuality previously?
Sure, it's okay to state your opinion, but I hope you realize that you are not free from the repercussions of your opinions. Also, categorically opinions do matter. They affect peoples lives, especially when we're discussing opinions of marginalized groups.
I really hope that you've read this entire post and really thought about the points I've tried to make.
This video covers this topic really well, hopefully if what I've said doesn't click, maybe this will.

I'm gay, haven't kissed a guy yet though, a guy asked me out... but I'm not comfortable showing my sexuality in public.

Lets not go around posting suicide memes please.
Just because you've not found somebody that you want to be with, does not make you subhuman. Being human is about the things that you do to help other people, where it may not be expected. That could be anything from helping someone with their graphics card choice on the forum, to smiling at the overworked cashier when you buy your food. Sure, being with someone would be nice (though I wouldn't know), but it isn't required to make things better.
If anyone ever needs support, there are lots of places you can go. My inbox it always open, though I can't promise to be of much help. If you're in the UK, the Samaritans are always accessible for free at 116 123 or jo@samaritans.org.

I have a helmet floating around that's like that (not mine though, mine is Honda branded since that was the only design they had in my size )
Ouch I lowsided the other week (in fact, I was just leaving first day back at work and the rear wheel slipped from under me) and by the looks of it I was quite lucky, virtually no damage to my kit and somehow only bruised my knee despite sliding for probably a good 20 or so metres (at least) whilst pinned under my bike.
Yes, I caught it on camera as well...
Helmets are required here by law anyway for motorcyclists (there are exceptions to this but I don't want to see this thread get political).

I was finally able to volunteer at the cattery yesterday. Eventually I got this little guy to play out in the open with his siblings. Feather wand toys work magic.

I'm in the same situation - I think most of my family would be supportive, but I can't really be sure (they seem pro-LGBT, but it may be a different story if/when I come out)
Probably tearing apart my project bike to try and install a new horn (it requires a 30A fuse and more wiring) as well as waiting on my parts order to come in.

I switched to an apprenticeship 15 months ago, and only just finishing.... I even think the training provider regrets choosing the exam board it did since they've done nothing but cause problems - honestly I'd have probably been better off staying on at school at this rate.

Well, the point still stands
My "replacement" Lumia doesnt switch on unless you pull the battery to complete a power cycle... I don't even know why I'm keeping it... I have my new (and decent) phone.... might chuck it in the WEEE skip.
Unless any of you lot want it

If you live in a downtown area, or other relatively tight area with slower traffic, I wouldn't imagine a 50CC scooter having a difficult time, in addition to being cheap, and easy for novice mechanics to work on and fix. For this reason, I don't consider them "uncool" in any way. In fact, I consider it quite cool how such a tiny, quite simple machine can haul you over long distances.
Be aware, if you're going onto streets where traffic is fairly aggressive or volatile (changing speeds quickly), the weaknesses of a 50CC engine will quickly become apparent.
