Would love to know the model numbers of your Supermicro 2u server and the 2u black server with the 8 x8gb drives. Also, which backup software are you using to auto-backup? That will come in handy for a lot of people here.

Heres my take on the Ryzen build, tried to go for an orange and black color scheme, and air cooling over water cooling.

The difference would effectively be 1080p vs 4K vs 4K (rendered down to 1080p).
1080p from 4K looks much better than native 1080p but whether its worth the difference is for you to decide. Bear in mind this is comparing max settings at both resolutions so a 1050 couldn't push that at upscaled 4K or natively.

just asking? thought about a NAS ? there are crazy fast ones don't you worry. it comes down to what you are willing to spend in total. there are adaptec raid controllers (at least those are the one I know of) that can provide the function you are looking for, but they start at 500$+.
so a NAS maybe not that far fetched. sth. on the upper end like the RS series from Synology maybe even coupled with the RP addon units, they also can be set up with ssd cache... it gets expensive on that end quit fast though.
