Sorry to hear. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

  2. You can throw in something like a 1050 in the meantime.
  3. Your processor is plenty good enough for a 30 series card, just be patient.
  4. Your cases front panel seems pretty restrictive with airflow, try removing it and see if the temps go down at all.
  5. As long as the load temps are fine you shouldn't really worry about it, though as mentioned in the first reply it's boosting to 4.3 when idle which isn't normal. Try putting it on the balanced power plan in windows settings.
  6. Well i figured out why my computer has been crashing. My 3600 was dying. It's not a 5000 series chip but I needed something soon since my IT classes are going full online. A nice little upgrade.

It never gets old, seeing 16 threads in task manager. even better when all are at full load :D

  7. Did I say that you couldn't?
  8. You'll probably be fine, the estimated wattage on pcpartpicker is around 330w. But that psu is only 80+ bronze. It'll probably work but if you can afford a better one that would be optimal.
  9. You will be fine, that's not anything that I've heard of happening before.

    Oh...

    LOL
  11. Are you sure? As long as the power button pins are next to eachother you'll be able to use a standard one. edit: oh weird they are very proprietary
  12. You can just buy a cheap ATX case and a decent 400w+ power supply. I doubt there's going to be anything compatible with that.
  13. I ran OCCTs CPU test and got this shortly before crashing. Is it safe to say that's it?
  14. Recently I've been having a terrible problem where my computer crashes every 30 minutes or so and I can't narrow down the reason. At first I thought it was memory and that's still a possibility but today I noticed this message (in attached picture) before every crash. Sometimes it would blue screen and sometimes it would just lock up completely requiring a press of the reset button to work. The same thing happens with 1 stick of memory installed and memtest86 doesn't seem to return any errors. I even tried reinstalling Windows the other day and it crashed several times during the install process. Any help is appreciated.
  15. Guess I got a slight upgrade today, my motherboard died last night and I needed that to work on my IT classes for tech school. Just drove to best buy and they had a b550 in stock ¯\_(ツ)_/¯IMG_20201117_131348.thumb.jpg.4c8397d17a264fa3163b4b7fe75b8555.jpg

  16. So I've been having a problem for a while, it only occurs when playing Black Desert Online on high settings after a few minutes to an hour of gameplay. When checking event viewer the error given is "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I'm inclined to believe this is a hardware issue as I believe this started happening after a failed overclock but I'm not 100% certain and this only seems to happen while playing BDO. No other games, no benchmarks, nothing else. Is my card just dying or is this some weird software thing? I also heard that it could be a power supply issue and this weekend I'll have my bf test my card in his PC to eliminate that as a factor. In the meantime does anyone have any ideas? Things I've tried: - DDU-ing and reinstalling graphics drivers - Reseating PSU cables on both ends and trying the second connector for PCIe power on the PSU - A registry tweak that changes the TdrDelay to 10 seconds instead of 2, all this did was make the freeze last longer - Adjusting power settings in nvidia control panel from "optimal power" to "prefer maximum performance" The thing that is strangest to me is that I haven't been able to replicate this issue with any other game or program. I even ran OCCT's GPU test for an hour with 0 errors.

    hello computer nerds

    @savagepainhi hi
  18. The last generation Oneplus 8 is still a great phone, especially at $600. You could also go with the new Pixel 5 or 4a 5G. If you want something cheaper the OP 7 Pro still definitely holds up in my opinion.
  19. It will not hurt anything. But what kind of keyboard doesn't have function keys??
