KingPizza got a reaction from Queen Chrysalis in Building my first PC...Going all out!!!!:)
OP, you'll be happy with either of the systems proposed here. I do believe mine has more longevity, but Queen's is 90% the performance for a few hundred less. Only you can decide which is more worth it.

Or perhaps we compromise and make a new list all together: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pDVxTn

With an air cooler, the Air Mini can fit 2 140's on the top, front, and bottom, for 6 total, and a rear 120. It's also an adjustable case that can be configured to fit micro-ATX and Mini-ITX mobo's. I stand by this case. The other changes are to scale back my list, but add roughly $100 in upgrades to Queen's. A faster NVMe, slightly faster RAM, a better GPU, sticking with Z690 for a more robust feature set, and a more capable air cooler.

I don't claim to be any kind of expert on this stuff. It's clear Queen is much more knowledged than I, so I will let them respond to this post and leave it at that.

For future reference, you can link a PCPartPicker list instead of writing it all out.

Here's yours all together on the list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nQyzpH

Here are the changes I would suggest making: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Zg3Dnt

I changed pretty much everything. 11th gen Intel is something you should avoid at all costs. The 12600k is a very good gaming CPU. You don't need a super beefy CPU cooler to cool it, so a cheaper tower cooler is going to give you similar results for less noise. 12th gen Intel calls for a new Mobo, and this one is around the same price range. DDR5 is a nice to have for future proofing. The HDD should be at least 7200RPM, and you can get A LOT more SSD for the money. You'll be much happier with a 1TB NVMe. The 4000D airflow is a fine case, keeping it. I would recommend at least a Gold certified PSU, just for peace of mind. And lastly, the Corsair fans are nice, but WAY overpriced. Arctic fans are just as good, if not better, for less than half the price.

The updated list doesn't include a GPU, but you can pretty much just use whatever you can get your hands on. The price between the lists is the same when not factoring in the GPU.

You're going to get a lot of comments saying the 12900K is overkill, and they will most likely be right. A 12700K is going to be more than sufficient for gaming and productivity, and will be WAY easier to cool. Your case compatibility will be far more favorable if you stick with a standard ATX mobo. These would be my recommendations:
The Gigabyte Z690 AORUS PRO is DDR5 and recommended by GamersNexus. And it's standard ATX 12600K if only gaming, and the 12700K if content creating as well The Corsair 4000D Airflow is a VERY solid case. Pretty much no compatibility issues if you get these parts Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 AIO. Another GamersNexus top rated AIO I'm not very knowledgeable with DDR5, but using PCPartPicker to choose something with a low CAS that's cost effective is easy enough. G.Skill Ripjaws S5 2x16GB, 5600Mhz, 30 CAS latency. Here is a PCPartPicker list for everything.

If upgrading is a concern, it might be worth it to wait for AM5 on AMD. AMD has a MUCH better track record for supporting sockets for multiple years. You could wait until the Ryzen 7000 series launches in early September. If you go Intel now, you'll have to live with a brand that will most likely stop supporting the socket in only 2 or 3 years.

Ok, I have a tube of NT-H1 I never used that came with a cooler, so I'll go ahead and use that and see if the paste holds up.

The OP makes it sound like my PC was crashing constantly and that I always knew the CPU was the issue. In reality, my PC runs fine 98% of the time, and I didn't suspect it was the CPU until nearly a year in.

Apparently Linus also had a lot of comments disliking the leg design. I didn't want to do it at first, but irl it really looks good. It's also the easiest, most functional way to put the legs on. 4 individual legs or 2 legs on each side is harder to pull off and maintain.

I've seen people use all the buttons on a 12+ button MMO mouse playing Wow. The Scimitar is a cheap, future proof mouse for whatever he may (or may not) need those extra buttons for.

I, however, still recommend the G700s. 4 side buttons is manageable and it can be wired. In total it has 8 buttons on top of the L, R, and middle buttons.

EDIT: I misunderstood your position, my bad sir.

If you can find a cheap, well built MMO mouse with lots of buttons that works well for you, I don't see any reason not to get it, even if you only end up using 3 or 4 of the buttons. It's always nice having the extra buttons just in case you want to use them in the future for whatever reason. Future proof your gaming.

KingPizza got a reaction from Nonco in Corsair K95 LED Issues, and Second Chances (UPDATE!)
As I said in the disclaimer of the OP, this isn't an attempt to dissuade people from choosing Corsair, nor am I crying about having a keyboard with dead LED's. I'm well aware I can RMA the board, but that doesn't solve the underlying issue. I'm not the only one to have LED issues with the K95, and I'm just confirming that it IS an issue, although I have no idea how prevalent it is, nor do I really care. It's simply something to consider if you're thinking of purchasing one. Also, an RMA isn't always practical, especially since you gotta send the board in, and if it's your only keyboard, that may not be an option. You can be sent a new one before you send out the old one, but you gotta allow them to hold $170 as insurance, which someone may not have lying around. If you need a keyboard that works and can't work around having issues, the K95 might not be for you.
