  1. Thanks, can't believe the drivers just do this on their own, feel kinda stupid now ^^
  2. Hi I have been living with this "feature" for a while now, but I want to remove it. basicly it is this threshhold that I can move, which when I position my mouse to its right side, my scroll wheel scrolls horizontally, not vertically. I can not move it further to the right or right click it to get some options for it so I have no idea how to remove it. (Mouse cursor invisible due to screenshot program) The thing in the bottom is what I can move. It is best visible on white backgrounds, like the editor. The thing on the right is locked to my mouse cursor whenever I'm on the right side of the bottom thing. Anyone got any idea how I can remove this? Here is my task manager if that helps:
  3. And I'm just sitting here with my 290, waiting for compatible monitors.
  4. If you don't know, I recommend brown. They are tactile, so you can feel when you actuate the key and they are not as obnoxious as blues. Do you never use the num-pad or almost never? Because if you use it once or twice a month you might want to consider the quickfire TK: If is only one row wider than a normal tenkeyless, but it has the numpad an arrow keys, delete, etc all merged into a numberpad. I have it and after a few days, switching between the two modes becomes second nature.
  5. This'll be a very blurry experience. I already think "1ms" TN panels have too much motion blur without a low persistance hack, this'll be atrocious.
  6. What are you comparing this to here?
  7. If you'll mostly use it for gaming, you should consider a 120hz monitor. Asus just released a 1440p 120hz gsync monitor, just get that one if you have an nVidia card EDIT: Asus PG278Q
  8. 4k@60hz works with displayPort, so in theory 1440p@120hz should be no problem, 1440p has less than half the ammount of pixels compared to 4k.
  9. yeah, they flex more and are just overall less sturdy and sustaining(is that a word?), because they are using an exposed PCB where your fingers are and your dead skin cells will stay.
  10. you should have enough thermal paste for multiple installations, so why not just install it with whatever you think is the right ammount and then unmount it to see how it has spread. Then you can redo it and adjust the ammount accordingly.
  11. Try them. If you can't, order a sampler kit from wasdkeyboards: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/wasd-sampler-kit.html#ad-image-0 I personally find reds feel a bit too soft. I have browns and love htem. You can mash reds faster though, so if you are a competetive player in games where you have to mash buttons as fast and accurate as possible, like osu!, you might want the reds, but the absense of the tactility throws many people off.
  12. Many cherry keyboards don't have a metal backplate fyi
  13. So now I'm sitting on 20k dogecoin... I hope in a few years it'll be worth something ^^
  14. I prefer the Steam DRM to managing my games with folder or something.
  15. Sova.. lol in german "Sofa" means couch, nice one roccat ^^
  16. Wait, you are using the 950D and are unhappy with the image quality? I have seen that monitor once and, oh boy, it is the best looking 120hz panel I have ever seen. Not including the newest models from benq. You can not choose 60hz? That is very strange, what connector are you using? Try using HDMI, it can only do 1080p at 60hz if you have a cable lying around. If you don't, you can create a custom resolution with CRU(custom resolution utility) that is 1080p and 60hz.
  17. Try setting the monitor in the windows settings to 60hz and use it like that for a few days. You will probably notice all movement will look less smooth, especially in games or just moving the mouse around. That is why I thikn it would be a downgrade, but if oyu don't mind the reduced smoothness and lesser readability of moving things, then go ahead and get the 1440p monitor. Just be sure ot know that especially is twitchy games you will not be able to see as much detail on something when it is moving.
  18. No, but it would look better. The input lag will be very annoying tho. Anyway, why would you want to downgrade from a 120hz monitor? try setting it to 60hz before you buy, I could not go back to 60hz personally.
  19. I reccomend getting a 120/144hz monitor. Also, make sure it's one from this list so you can hack some low-persistance-magic on it: http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/ With these monitors it is way easier to see stuff clearly while it's moving, especially the lightboost hack helps a ton with visibility of moving objects.
  20. Ok, I'll keep it simple, I am having trouble with something I have to do in php. Here is the situation: I get two strings, like this: "Linus"; "Sebastian" And then I want to get a shot version of that as a string like this: "LinSeb" So, the first three letters form the first string and then the first three letters from the second string into a new string. Can you guys help me with this please?
  21. Anyone who says LoL doesn't have a bad community has never played it, even in non-ranked games people troll and harass you like you just killed half their family, even though you only lost a tower or something like that. I haven't yet played any ranked games, but from what I've heard it's even worse there. I really like mobas, the skill needed to be good is much more versatile than that needed to be good at a shooter, as you really have to know who is where, what exactly is happening, when to cast your spells, etc.
  22. make sure the TV doesn't zoom, can you see the taskbar ok? and the edges of windows? most TVs for some reason cut off the corners of the input normalls, you can turn that off and then it should look alright
  23. Does it need a mic or can you "mod" one on again? btw, headphones, while they technically are periphrials, should rather go in the adudio subforum
