  1. Without modifications, easily 65mm thiccc 360 rad/fan combination on top and IIRC 75/85mm was super close to memory/vrm heatsinks, 30mm 240 on the bottom (READ: if you have short enough PSU, mine was 150mm long) and atleast 45mm thiccc 240 in the front at the sametime Source: My old build (top 360 was 30mm with 25mm fans)
  2. Having built and rebuilt in the R6 multiple times now, i would recommend the S2/Mesh for 2x 360 setup. Two EK PE's fit fine if you have the fittings to go around the tight spaces and the S2 has reservoir mounts if you dont have direct 120mm mounts for your reservoir
  3. It has been running now for about 3 months no problems, temps are fine when counting in my high ambient temperature and other high wattage parts in the loop. No thorttling from overheating VRM's which shows that atleast on my card the block makes good contact with VRM's. Shoot me a PM if you need more info

Bit late to the party but I too have the Xp Jedi Edition, a while back I searched the same thing and found nothing, so I desided to pull the trigger on EK-FC GeForce GTX FE Acetal + Nickel Full Cover Block and it fits! The second LED connector is flush to the block but it fits and works like normal Titan Xp would, you might have to trimm down the block/led connector if there are manufacturing tolerances for this https://imgur.com/a/aosQxSK some pictures of dry fit, also the normal titan x(p) backplate fits great!

Alphacool NexXxos XT45 240, EK Supermacy EVO Full Nickel, Vardar F1-120 1150rpm & some small stuff (evga 680 and HD-4870x2 chilling in the background) This is before revisioning the loop Aaaand after rebuilding the whole damn thing, had to dust off the whole case. The Compunator V.2 This is pretty much my "dream pc" from few years ago, I couldn't afford all this at the time so here it is, bit late, but still here Parts i've upgraded to slowly, core parts are mostly bought used (GPU, CPU, RAM, PSU). For now i'm waiting to swap the case again, Define R6 Gunmetal TG has yet to arrive in Finland. Planning to swap the 240mm radiator for a 360/420 radiator or maybe cramming 3 rads into the R6, also thinking of switching to EK's Supermacy Evo Full Nickel at the same time to fit the "theme". Radiators: Alphacool NexXxoS Full Copper 360mm + 240mm 30mm thick Fans: EK Vardar 120's x5, Corsair AF-140's x3 Monochromatic theme Aim of this build was to be very monochromatic themed with led illumination & coolant color differentiating the looks, PrimoChill Vue coolant would fit perfectly but it's not meant for this high wattage, almost 24/7 running build. I love the Asus X99 Worksation board looks, ofc it has other great features, like proper VRM cooling, USB 3.1 & alot of expandability/connectivity. I would have gone for the EK waterblock for GPU too but sadly I didnt find any in stock, but Watercool Heatkiller block does the job and I like the backplate on it. Alot has been copied from Corsair 750D owners club builds when it comes to stuff like mounting the reservoir. Building experience Building experience in Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow edition was quite nice, ample room for working around with the custom loop, cable management is bit lacking compared to the Define R5 I used earlier with the same loop configuration, but better than previous, Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG that was very tight fit for the radiators & res (140 version at the time). I know it's a older design with main points being cabletie points and rubber grommets with radiator support limited by three 5.25 bays (and lots of pcie expansion slots, hence the full tower size) but I couldn't help myself missing the cable straps and full coverage dust filters found on previous cases, 750D does not have a bottom mounted dust filter, causing high amounts of dust to enter from the bottom radiator intake. PSU filter makes vibrating noises when fully mounted and pushed to it's position. Radiator mounting was easy, not much hassle excluding having to lay the case on it's side to attach the bottom radiator (really big tower for my small table), reservoir & pump combo was bit tricky to mount, It can be mounted between the 5.25 bays and motherboard with EK Res X3 mounts that fit trough some pre-drilled holes, but I ended up attaching it to the 750D's drive cages mounted to the top position right under 5.25 bays with some screw holes aligning nicely to attach the res & pump combo onto it. It still fits four regular 3.5inch drives (3 mounted now), the mounting screw and nut interfere with two of the drive caddies but thats no biggie. The EK DuraClear tubing package I bought the first time (3m per package) was a very easy fit with the fittings using hot water and slight streching w/ pliers to open them up over the barbs, and the compression ring screwed in nicely. Same cannot be said for the second batch DuraClear package I got few months later, I had some serious trouble with trying to tighten the compression fittings to the same point which they fitted nicely in with the first batch of tubing. Airflow, Radiator Placement & Draining System Compared to the previous cases I have used with this build, it's far ahead in terms of airflow (yes not really comparable, all have different target groups) with perforated front panel and no closed off top panels (Looking at you Evolv TG ). Two front 140mm fans provide plenty airflow and the EK Vardar 120's are plenty enough to push/pull air trough the radiators, albeit being greyish and plain I like the look of these fans and they perform well for their intended purposes. I have currently mounted the 240mm radiator on the bottom 240/280 spot taking in unflitered fresh air with the Alphacool Valve & EK T-Splitter handling draining, also Alphacool Temp sensor passtrough fitting somewhere there, front 140mm fans are sucking in air trough front filter, 360mm radiator on top radiator position exhausting (fits 360mm effortlessly but requires 5.25 bay removal to fit proper 420mm rads), and single Corsair AF-140 in the back exhausting. (TL;DR : 4 intaking, 4 exhausting) Development Over time It has been pretty rough and problematic over time while building & upgrading this pc, some big ones to mention; Titan X(m) shuntmod failure, simple liquid metal over the shunt had corroded the solder off, causing the shunt to almost completely fall off = black screen when drivers load Fixed by resoldering the shunt back, result for my first soldering job was only 5-6% "smaller" power target, slight misreading from the shunt that is. Motherboard & CPU fried, had a Asus X99-Pro/3.1 that either had a capacitor or VRM failure, resulting into a dead motherboard & CPU (at that time it was 5820K) There was no way I could fix that, I dont have the equipment nor skill to fix such things. CPU was covered by insurance and the motherboard is still to date in Asus warranty service (2-3 months?) All in all it's been rough Pictures (Currently too lazy to clean up the dust and table + repositioning the led strips. Will add as soon as I get my ass off the chair get some proper lighting to help my op5) Edit 1: Just to illustrate the loop until I can get decent looking photos of it Excuse my English, it's not my first language, feel free to tell your opinion about the build & what you would change about it.
  7. Anybody? Kinda given up since my friend has my second USB stick still on loan, so I cant test loading Intel/windows drivers in the installation part for now.

A few days ago I tried to get my m.2 working so i could install a fresh OS to it (running on regular ssd rn) And came upon this problem, the motherboard (Asus X99-E WS/3.1) bios doesn't recognize the drive (neither does the w10 installation program) and has no M.2 settings other than some Asus hyper kit card for M.2's It supposedly supports nvme (with booting) and people have these in working order. Latest BIOS version 3601 Drive : Samsung 960 Evo 250gb M.2 nvme I have tried to only have the m.2 ssd installed (no sata drives or usb storage installed) to no avail, fiddling around the bios with different settings (CMS, PCIE, Onboard devices conf. , Clearing CMOS etc) doesnt help at all. The drive does heat up even when not detected so it should not be outright DOA Was thinking of ordering a PCIE adapter but i'm tight on money for rest of the year. Help would be appreciated a lot!
  9. Please please please dont run your components on carpet, the danger of "zap 'n buff" is real with those photos. Motherboard box makes for a great testbench for first boot Otherwise looking very neat, but I have to ask why z170? kabylake has been here for a while and ryzen 1600 is a great option too.
  10. http://hwbot.org/hardware/videocard/geforce_gtx_780/ hwbot has usually good averages for air/water oc's, my 780 ghz edition couldn't do much without added voltage, barely 1170 without unlocked bios and with unlocked one it reached 1320mhz

Here's the situation, I have two zotac synergy edition 570's (the ones that are slapped on to a 480 pcb/cooler) and I have already modded the bios with NiBiTor allowing for a max of 1.213v, with this I can achieve 960mhz stable on 3dmark Fire Strike, but i've been left craving for more!! I cannot get the Nibitor regular voltage editing open (greyed out) only the tool's that allow max of 1.2v, and Fermi BIOS editor says the device is unsupported. So far I've tested to save the bios as .bin instead of .rom but no difference there. I'm not ready for stepping on the world of hardmods since i'm lacking the tools for such things. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/11497624 this my best run so far, compared to stock run with cpu only at 4.4 http://www.3dmark.com/fs/11494349 it's godlike, but i'm not satisfied yet

More or less the game just taking up as much as it can from cpu, I have couple of friends with x99 broadwell builds with 6-core cpu's clocked pretty high, and only then the usage doesn't jump up to 100%. It's not a cpu limitation imo, gpu usage is still 99/100%. Bf1 is more dependant of vram, it like maxes out my vram with high settings without AA or SSAO/HBAO. But on a side note, my other friend couldn't play bf1 for months because nvidia was lazy and didn't fix the issues with gtx 770/680's crashing constantly in bf1 (up until 376.60 uploaded to guru3d) but now he runs the game fine with i5-4460 and msi 770 2gb, also one another friend plays with mobile i7 and 860m (terrible price to perf.) on low and still gets occasional framedrops or stutters...

Currently running the Dark Rock 3 on 4770k delidded with CLU & GC-Extreme between the ihs and cooler, bf1 uses 50-100% of all cores (mostly 100) and with bit more agressive fancurve from bios, it still keeps it relatively cool at about 75c when playing for hour or two while having heavily oc'd open air cooled 780 pushing the heat inside, silent enough to not be heard in idle(inaudible) or when gaming over the gpu fans/ case fans. It's not for extreme oc's but for more modest oc's, (imo) good looks and silence. IMO if you find it for a good price, it's worth it if you like the looks. 3 Pro/D14&15 are more like performance options if you are looking to more extreme oc's on air (also thermalright Le Grand Macho RT is good choise, couple of degrees here and there, and possibly lower noise)
