Project Blank       Let’s cut it short, I’m going to treat myself with a new PC. I’ve been quite obsessed with mechanical keyboards after my last build “Phenomenon” ; which I’ve learnt how to mod it and spend all my PC budget on them and made my bank account cried . Anyway, this time it would be a pc which would run me for the long run, so if anyone expect me to do major or big time mod like I did previously; don’t be, well there will be but its just minor mod. It will be a classic looking build which the components itselves I’ve chosen carefully to suit the build and stand for itself.    I tried to grab myself the highest quality components my wallet can  afford, not trying to be a cry baby but I have limited option on components here; besides with all those water cooling stuff which I’ve to order from the US, it would cost me twice as much if I have to pay for the custom tax (fingers crossed)   Won't be revealing all the components I’m going to use now, but some components will be taken from my previous build since I think they can still serves me well Anyway, I will be updating this first post occasionally for some updates; this will be a slow log since I am taking my time to make something perfect for the long haul. Estimated to be done by end of December   And also. I will be playing around with my camera for the shots as well, so stay tuned!   List of components: CPU: i7 4930K Motherboard: Asus Rampage iv Extreme Black Edition Case: Caselabs SM8 RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum (4x4GB) 1866 GPU: 2x Powercolor R9 290 OC PSU: Seasonic Platinum 1000w Sound card: Asus Xonar STX SSD: 2x Samsung Evo 120gb (Raid 0) HDD: 2x WD Caviar Black 1TB   Water cooling: CPU: EK Full nickel clean GPUs: Aqua computer Kyropgrahics 290 block with Active XCS Backplate Motherboard: EK RIVBE Block Radiators: EK XTX 480 and 360 Fittings: Primochill rigid and Bitspower adapters Reservoir: Aquacomputer 880ml Aqualis Pump: D5 Tube: Primochill Tube Black GPU: Aquacomputer nickel with active XCS backplate Fans: Gentle Typhoon AP-15 with NZXT Sentry Mix 2 Lighting: NZXT White LED

    I'll second ^
budget go with the option above as long as you can manage the space for the 120 radiators
custom loop is way too expensive, I run 2 x 290 with water and I really dont wanna go on how much I spent on it

Some already know me with previous build logs in this forum, you already know i love white case and build, i dont change this in this build, this one is my personal gaming build, i tried to make less compromise on aesthetics and Hardware specially on GPUs and when i saw white GPU pcb and white waterblock, the planning begins, most of the job for this buils are for the planning , painting and sleeving,
The hard tubing was not so easy to achived, specially because all passtrought on the floor
I hope you will enjoy this one,

Description : OK, OK, I know, it's not the prettiest thing in the world. It doesn't even have a painted interior! But still, there's lots of goodness here I think. Cable management! Completely custom drive bays with place for tons of HDDs! Dual CPUs! Loads of fans! But yes, of course this build is about functionality above all else. In any case (huehue), for those who don't know it yet, it's our new home server, used for my personal files, my dad's business data and our media library (and some experimentation with virtual machines). Currently at 29 TB raw storage capacity, it still has 11 free HDD bays at the moment for expansion. I needed a case with space for lots of HDDs for future expandability, but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on hotswap cages, so I took out the stock drive assembly and made a completely custom one with the awesome help from one of our neighbours.
More info in build log, for those who are into that sort of thing.

So as I've said, there will be consistent update from now on. And today I decided to start on dressing the GPU's and radiators   So I tested the fans, it seems that the fan port splitter doesn't work if downvolted to 7v, I have to get a handmade fan port splitter in this case. What bothers me is that its pretty hard to get a black pcb fan splitter and I wont stop until I get one. An all dark color build have to be all dark     and test fit the rad
Still cant test fit the 480 rad due to the length of the screws which is a tiny bit too short . The shortage is due to Caselabs drop mount system which resulted in an alu plate run in between fans and radiators   moving on... Let the undressing begun
I was stuck with the unscrewing part since the guide from AC is so minimal, for those of you who are taking the stock cooler of 290's Make sure you check the two screws near the ports, it's the two screws on the left (see picture)
    And she's naked!

    It's time to clean her

The indigo cleaner really does make a difference for easy TIM cleaning, you can see my hand reflection. And no, I did not edit the photo It's pure sensor camera play with good lighting and Indigo cleaner
I was planning to use CLU on the GPU, but seeing how compliated the PCB on AMD GPUs compare to NVIDIA I decided to only use my trusty ICdiamond, and MX-4 on the RAM module     This is the Active XCS Backplate I was talking about, the backplate is aluminium . Love how solid it feels     Had to take off the stock terminal and replace it with the one included in the backplate. It has heat sink build into it     And applied some TIM on it     DONE!

    Nice set man,
We have a similar setup , just wondering what OS are you currently running?
I'm having problem setting up the software on 8.1 (yeah you helped me, the steps are taken and done but none change due to 8.1 from my research)
latest software supported is windows 7 from what I read,

anyway this is my latest after I received a surprise package from Binge
