KerbalPhysicist got a reaction from Jimmiesdadsmom in Should I RMA my 970?
That doesn't look good... That is why they need to put backplates on cards. If it won't be a massive inconvenience or if you have a spare card lying around, I would definitely RMA that. Just first though, did it come like that out of the box?

The logitech g105 has 5 macros and 3 profiles so total 15 macros. For $40-50.

I wouldn't go with an i7, I would go with a xeon with many cores and hyperthreading. They can't be overclocked, but if you're building the rig, it doesn't sound like she would be trying to overclock anyway. That would absolutely smash any 3d rendering performance, and depending on which one you buy, can easily fit your price range. Ill get back to you in a few minutes on a good model

    Here is a good xeon: 8 core, 16 thread, 2.6 Ghz, 20 Mb l2 cache, lGA 2011 v3 (Same socket as the 5820k/5960x) Here's the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117478

I have noticed it appears at 8pm ET on my Windows 7 installs after completing every update and rebooting. Just give it some time and it will pop up on your taskbar. Every now and then click this little expanding arrow  to see if is hiding in there or click "Customize" and make sure it isn't in there (was for my mother's PC).

WAIT HOLD UP. WE DONT WANT LINUS'S PERSONAL PC. The case has a lot of meaning to him guys. It was a gift from his wife. I believe it was the first gift from her too.
EDIT: Thanks for all the likes guys! Hopefully Linus or someone from LMG will read this and this will make Linus keep his build. Even if the goal of 100k is made we should convince Linus to do another build maybe, with signatures from the whole LMG family and maybe even his wife. This would let Linus keep the build he has with the special case his wife gave him. Besides, his personal PC would be more special to him than us.

I know this will probably sound like super generic advice, bit try taking everything apart and putting it back together. To be honest, I always recommend building outside of the case to test first. In this case, I think you might have the motherboard shorting out on the case. Even just the edge can do it. Also if you have another power supply, than try using that. You should definitely try to boot off of internal graphics too. If all else fails, RMA
I have had this problem rarely before, and usually reassembling it fixes the problem!

    This is a worldwide giveaway.

Also, please mention in your comment what you would do with the processor if you were to win this giveaway! (This will not affect who wins in any way - winners are chosen at random, this is just a way to add a bit of cool community interaction to the contest) Are you a budding streamer or video editor who will use the extra cores for multi-tasking? Would this chip act as the missing piece for a set of workstation components that you've been eyeing?

    UPDATE 12/27/2014:
