Hello there,i am 16 and i have been watching linus since late 2009,it just struck me now that every single day i open up youtube to watch videos of a guy that i have never met in person or talked with.
When i was 10,i was interested in tech,but i didn't know where to get my knowledge from.Then,i found linus on youtube,i forgot which video it was about,but that one video introduced me to a whole new world.
And there my pc master race was started,i really owe it to linus,he makes us professional level videos everyday.I haven't really contributed anything to linus right now,but i sure will in the future.Whenever my frieds ask me how do i know so much about tech,i tell them linustechtips and recommend them to watch him.
Even though i have never met linus,i wake up everyday to watch his videos and livestreams.Always take his opinions before others.Basically,this topic is to Thank linus for all he has done.Thank you linus and the awesome crew for all your hardwork, keep up the good work.

For what he is powering (iPig), this probably won't matter.
 
What you mentioned is true for devices like light bulbs, electric stoves, flat irons, etc.
 
That being said, there are devices that get hurt by undervoltage scenarios. Motors that slow down too much or stall at low voltages can heat up and fail (or worse, become a fire hazard) for example.

It doesn't really work that way, some keys are different in some country's like for example a exclamation mark on the 8-key. You would have to order new key-caps.
 
 
There should be different versions withe the layouts for different country's as separate products.

Don't worry, it will probably be the case anyway. My HDD (only storage) will stop frequently if not in use.
It will consume far less power en make a lot less noise!
 
It will add a little wear to the motor, but it is not that significant. And the advantages are far greater than the little extra wear.

I know there have been hefty discussions about this topic in the past. The HDD's bearings wear while running, start/stop cycles will wear the motor. One of those two will probably give at some point. But a modern HDD should be able to handle it's for it's life expectancy.
 
And of course your drive might be the unlucky one which dies a bit quicker due to it, but by the time that happens you really should have a back up of your data. (You probably should always have a back up )

Yeah I want to leave the option to do some custom water cooling or adding a GPU in the future. Also the fan of the RM series PSU kicks in at a certain load, so in the meantime I think my system is just this much quieter.
