Hate it when people won't just answer a question. "no, buy a dual core intel instead." Great answer.

Both are good mobo's, I own the ASUS M5A99X r2.0 and it's great for overclocking. The gigabyte board looks good as well, go with whatever you like more for looks or brand. I prefer Asus bios' myself so I always go for Asus when possible.

Finally found some spare time this week to get the Mastercase PSU shroud painted to match the chassis. Here is the plate with and without the gulk racing stripe and just after applying the gloss clear coat

Water isn't wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water; what happens to us when we come into contact with water in such a way that it impinges on our state of being. We, or our possessions, 'get wet'.

    Guys/gals,

things have been pretty rough on this side of the fence with some family bullshit.

    Anyways,

the base coat coat for the most part is complete. Some minor sanding and such before we get to the clear coat . Here is a quick picture of the color scheme .:)

hopefully this weekend we will will have a complete build!

    thanks guys!

    Hello guys,

I am starting a new build which will have a water cooled GPU and CPU in my 380T.
If you are not familiar with the Corsair 380T... it is a very compact ITX case made to be portable and for LANs.
    It will house the following.

Mobo: MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC Mini-ITX
    CPU: I7 6700k
GPU: MSI Seahawk X 1070 (AIO water cooled)
    RAM: 16 GB Gskill
    CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i
    PSU: Corsair CM 750X
    Fans: 120MM Thermaltake ring RGB
    200mm Thermal take RED LED

After the first night of work the pictures below are of the
    -Disassembly
    -Sanding
    -Primer

I am using automotive paint and clearcoat. The colors will be Red/White/Black

Thanks for checking it out, and i will post more pictures of the painting process, and assembly once the modding and everything is complete!

Great painting! I love to see when someone spends a lot of time on something like that rather than throwing money at a build. Very cool paint job.

Have you considered painting the mesh panels white? Just my 2c but i think it would look cool.

Necrodead got a reaction from Xanthe_2871 in Price wise, what's your experience with buying things used?
There is someone selling a used gtx 970 on my local classifieds for $450. I feel like making an ad and going, "Brand new 970 for $350 at newegg!"

    All prices in CAD.

If its that bad for you i would try to get a replacement, you bought it with your money and you have to live with it. However if you get the same thing again, it may be something to do with the display that is just like that.

On my LG 34UC88 I have a similar glow, but it is limited to only about an inch in the corner and I don't really notice it unless I'm lookin for it.

Plasti-dip'd my Gskill Ripjaws X 1600, thought I would post some pics.

started by removing the stickers and taping up the PCB. I was going to remove them but they are really stuck on there, and I didn't currently have enough thermal pads to replace all the ones I would have destroyed.

Many many super thin coats later.

After pulling the tape off. 1 PCB received some over-spray, but thats why I used plastidip, just peeled it right off.

    Stickers back on.

    Back in the system.

It looks a little purple in the pictures because my LED strip is actually a RGB strip with no true white setting, I plan on upgrading to real white LED's when dazmode gets em' back in stock.

    [update]

I changed the front I/O with the unit from the white 760T and the white LED and I've changed the noctua front fans out with Thermaltake riing fans. (Yes I bought them before computex) I like the LEDs though, you can't find anything else with that plastic LED ring like the BMW headlights.

Also I have some AutoCad designs that I'm going to get cut for a power supply cover and one peice to hold the temprature displays in the near future, stay tooned.

So I got sidetracked with my Air 00 build but back to this now that I have time.

Here is my 3mm acrylic PSU cover ready to go.

Metallic graphite mica is the colour I used.

Watercooling the ram this time around.

    Custom cable shield.

Fans are the same colour as the rads.

    Figuring out the different runs.

Do you guys like my flow meter? I'm not sure if it will be included or not.

There will also be some green LED fans from cougar in the front and back, the painted fans are on the top rad.
