Benbinbeen reacted to bear5532 in Should I watercool SLI 780ti classified cards?
i wouldn't skimp on anything. if you are going to take the enthusiast path and watercool you may as well do it right. if you skimp on fittings or clamps and you get a leak and fry $1000 of graphics card you didnt really save much did you. As far as your ambient temps are concerned...if will only make the ambient temp hotter. the whole point of water cooling is to take MORE heat from the cpu, gpu, whatever component you are watercooling and transfer it to the water. the hot water goes to the radiator where the heat from the hot/warm water is dissipated into the air instead of the copper/aluminum fins of a air cooler into the air. the reason the component is going from ~80c to ~40c is because MORE of the heat is going into the air. if you are water cooling to make your room cooler you are going to have a bad time.

Benbinbeen reacted to BaSkA in Should I watercool SLI 780ti classified cards?
You could buy two of these for 250$, this for $80 and some tubing, fittings, etc.
At least 400$, maybe more if you get top quality stuff.
This post might help, not sure!

Benbinbeen reacted to turtlesocks in EK Water Blocks General Support Thread
Hello everyone,
My name is Derick, I am EK Waterblock's forum rep. I want to open this thread for people to ask any questions they may have about EK products.
Before asking questions please consult our website dedicated to users who have any compatibility questions.
www.coolingconfigurator.com
Our YouTube channel also has many How-To Videos that can help with most questions users have.
EKWB YouTube Channel
This website will assist with nearly any question you may have concerning compatibility with any of our products including but not limited to CPU, GPU, and chipset blocks. Any other questions that can't be solved by the CC can be asked here.
Of course besides compatibility questions I am here to answer any other questions related to EKWB products. I will also assist with any questions pertaining to how to setup and configure your water cooling loop. Our video on YouTube detailing how to install one of our EK-Kit's will help with most of those questions I hope.
If you have a product that isn't working correctly and you would like to RMA, I cannot help you with this. Our support team would love to assist you with this problem and you can open a ticket at www.ekwb.com/support . Please do not PM or post here any problems such as "My radiator came damaged, fix this". You will receive much faster help by contacting our support directly.
I hope this thread is ok with Staff, I know some forums are picky because they think support threads are seen as advertising. If any staff has any problems feel free to PM me. I just want it to be clear that the purpose of this thread is not advertisement. We understand that water cooling can be confusing to some and we want to be able to provide support to as many people as possible, that is the purpose of this thread. Thank you for reading and lets all have a good time
Also; feel free to post images of your rigs featuring EKWB products here!

Benbinbeen reacted to Me1z in GTX 780ti or GTX 980?
1) Wait till launch, we know nothing more than you do. We are not psychic, educated responses need to be formed by benchmarks.
2) If you don't need to, don't buy anything just yet. Wait until AMD releases something in response, with any luck prices will drop.
3) Personally I recommend neither, go pick up an R9 295x2 while its still on sale.

Benbinbeen got a reaction from BaSkA in Roomy cases
I would agree with what the other people suggested when they said the Enthoo Pro. I just finished building in the Enthoo Luxe, which is the same case with a few added features and it was very easy to use, sturdy, looks nice and has a fair price.

I think this looks a lot better than the 600T.. The 380T and the 780T look great although I like the looks of the 750D over any of the graphite series..

Benbinbeen reacted to VSG in New EK Supremacy Evo + my quick review
If you already have the original Supremacy, stick to it. You are talking about 1-2 C temps at best in most cases. Unless you want to switch tops, it makes little sense to upgrade.

Benbinbeen reacted to Ghost in Watercooling FAQ - Some Basic Q&A
This FAQ was written by both myself and Whaler.
If you have any suggestions/questions for the FAQ please message Ghost or Whaler.
This is a watercooling FAQ.
Myself, Whaler and others will be adding to this FAQ on a regular basis. Please do not reply to this thread. This will be a collection of information that we hope will be useful to new users looking at Water Cooling and will be expanded on over time. Most of the information will be generalized and we will try and keep personal opinion out and stick to the facts. Note, some users will have had different experiences and results then us and different opinions. We are just trying to cover the basics here.

Benbinbeen reacted to Shaqo_Wyn in EK PWM Pump?
Nah. It's a powerful little pump. It can push up to 1000L per hour, more than enough to give you max head pressure at 1GPM with 2 GPU's + 1 CPU and 2 rads and fittings + tubing.

Benbinbeen reacted to Shaqo_Wyn in EK rad; XTX vs PE (240)
I don't know of any actual benchmarks for those specific rad sizes, you could Google it.
Like with most thicker low fpi vs thinner high fpi rad comparisons. It depends on the fans, the RPM you run them at and how much you care about having a silent system.
I know that a 360 XTX can dissipate about 210W in push or pull with fans at 1400 RPM. You could take a really rough estimation and divide this number by 3 and then times 2 (240) and say that a 240 XTX will dissipate about 140-160W at this RPM. At lower RPM's than 1400 the XTX will perform better because the rad is low fpi, especially if you have some good static pressure optimized fans. However, the PE rad isn't too thick (38mm) and will probably perform about the same with some good static pressure fans at the same <1400 RPM.
In this case I'd say with the same RPM and fans, they should perform about the same. It's more a question of which rad you can fit in your chassis.

I would have it as an intake. Drawing fresh cooler air in for the top rad.
