SSDs have a limited write life. So in general you don't want to be re writing them all the time.

It's really not that hard. I've done my own taxes for over 10 years. There are plenty of programs you can use to do them. Typically the IRS will have a list of recommended ones around tax time. Just don't lie. As long as your 100% honest you should be good.

That is when I work my best. I found with work that as stress piles up I eventually get to a point where I'm just numb to it. It's when I'm most efficient. probably super unhealthy but whatever

Undergrad and masters in Biochemical Engineering. I do enjoy a lot of liberal arts type things. I enjoy philosophy, photography and history. But there is no way I'm paying for a 4 year education in any of those fields. I know enough people that got degrees in the arts. Almost none of them ever found a job in the field. And the ones that did don't get payed well enough to justify the 6 figure debt.

If your a good enough mechanic and fabricator then anything is possible. It's just usually not worth it.

I have had a surface pro 4 for a few years now. I originally had the 4 Gb version but I found that I was running out of ram. 8 GB is the sweet spot for me(for a laptop). Also remember how much space windows takes up. I have the 256 GB drive and it's a good size for me to keep some permentant files, any working files and programs. Everything else is stored on my server. I would not recommend going below 120 GB for a boot drive. You can always throw in a large micro sd card. But remember that is going to be really slow storage.

You're right that is a bad counter argument. Your mother might know more than the average doctor about a few topics. She does not know more than a doctor about all the things doctors know. I know vastly more about certin things than the average doctor. But doctors can Google things too. They are not supposed to know every posible thing about every disease. That's not practical. They know how to find the information they need.

@wasab As a hiring manager I cant assume that an applicant is the next Bill Gates. I need some kind of proof that they know what they are doing. A diploma from a good school proves that to me. It's their reputation on the line of the applicant is incompetent.

Depends on what they where doing. Would I trust Bill Gates to write a program for me; sure. Would I trust Bill Gates to run a bioreactor; absolutly not. Also Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are one in a million individuals.

In a decent school you should do a lot more than just read books. I got plenty of real world experiance during the course of my university education.
