As many of you guys know, I have COVID, and i'm feeling real shitty so I'm just gonna dump the ranks here and hope some of you guys comment below your views on the ranks so far. 

 

I have to say, Igor was so damn close, less than 2 million off from taking the number one spot.

I'm really impressed with the numbers we are seeing here, Thank you to all who are involved and who make this worth while every year.

 

Remember we are a team first and individuals second, so give thanks where thanks is due and hit that reaction button when someone helps you out.

 

Be wary of the minimum participation requirements this year.

 

20 Days with activity*, 500,000 Points & 40 WU

(*activity is defined as completing at least 1WU for the 24 hour period)

 

Finally, if you have had any hardware die during the event or on the run up to the event during preparations please post it on the thread below

Thank you, I appreciate that, I did originally ask @cbigfoot but I can't sleep as every time I lay down I feel as if I can't catch my breath so I thought seeing as I'm up anyway I will just post the ranks on the blog as I have done. 

 

But how do you think the event is going so far?

I remember my first LTT Folding Month back in 2019. To participate in it, I chucked together a computer out of spare parts and started folding in the same desk cabinet my current folding rig was in, since my parents didn't know what Folding@Home was and were against me doing it at the time. The power supply and cooler I'm using for my current F@H rig are actually the same one I had for my first one. In fact, the 2019 Folding Month was what motivated me to convince my parents and start my own F@H team to help more students from the Bay Area take on folding.

 

In three years, I've grown a lot and become a significantly better, more mature person, but my love of these events has remained. Thanks again for making this happen.

Next year is our 5th event and i'm really hoping to get LMG @LinusTech @jakkuh_t @Slick involved, maybe with some shout outs and things... Who knows maybe as a team we can throw in the cash to buy a LTT video sponser spot or something...

Hope you recover soon Spec.
I love participating in these events as well and try to contribute when I have time and spare resources (brain included). I'd be into donating for a sponsor spot if that's how things turn out.

As for my folding, I think I am going to pull up short of the Billion Mark. I just don't have the oomph to do the PPD needed in the next 6 days... O well.

Can I help you with PPDs to  get to 1B? I could fold some on your behalf  for a day or two...

That's a nice initiative, but I think it's against the rules for the event.

@GOTSpectrumI hope you recover from this quickly. Hell I joined F@H due to covid first blowing up badly in the US and feeling a deep desire to "do something" so frankly I feel like we are working to prevent these problems in the future. I agree that @LinusTechcould support this a tad more on the channel, since we are the fan base folding under their flag but I get it, things are busy. Heck I was reminded about the F@H from one of the LTT video's at the start of COVID after having first poked it way back in like 2003 or something for a brief time period when members of my EverQuest guild told me about it. 

I hope I can pull off a last second upset and slide into 6th, but I am 12M points off and I don't think I can do it in time.

honestly, yeah man, looks like everyone from first place down to justpoet and jonathan_01 (whom I think are the last eligible folders) are going neck-and-neck, swapping places, I'm surprised no one's spoken about it until now. The fight for #100 is even more pitched than the one for #110, which isn't bad itself (I've dropped 10 places and I intend to gain them back by the end of the event)

Per my calculations @Mxyzptlk only needs 29,246,804 per day(through the 12th) to get it...there may have been a typo on the event end as the scoresheet has the 12th on it (5 Full weeks) unless I am misunderstanding something... @GOTSpectrum am i Loco?

No... you all know how illiterate I am with dates, the event is 5 whole weeks

Thanks for the offer, But with the extra day.... maybe I can pull it off... Will see.

 

Plus it'll bring some kind of a nail biting to the end of this 🙂
