Let's Talk about Luna's Howl

Missed yesterday's blog post, so you get a bonus weekend post today   Yesterday, I finally acquired Luna's Howl and put it to some work in the Crucible: Today, I'll be talking about what weapons I've paired it with and what I think of it so far. First and foremost, I highly recommend you run hand cannon scavenger and reserve perks if you can. With Drop Mag, you burn through ammo pretty quickly. I actually ran out during a comp match last night. Secondly: Magnificen

[D2 PvP] Knock-off Titan

Titans punch things, it's what they're known for doing, it's the main thing they do. This build will knock a Titan out of his One Eyed Mask.   Let's start by talking about top tree Arcstrider, Way of the Warrior. There are three perks of this subclass that I want to draw attention to: Combination Blow. Kills with this ability trigger health regenaration and increase melee damage for a short period. Combat Flow. Melee kills recharge your dodge ability. Dead

[D2 PvP] Iron Banner/Control

It's a new week, time for another blog post. Today: Zippy Boi v2: Hunter Edition Let's talk about the Iron Banner/Control gamemode.   Running around capturing zones and killing people to gain points is fun. It can be tough sometimes, but it is fun. Especially if you equip the right loadout for doing so. Last time Saladin visited the tower, I perfected what I believe is my ideal loadout for the Control mode.   The parts of this loadout are fairly simple: In my

[D2 PvP] Shooting and Yeeting

This is possibly the most map-specific build I've ever done. Be that as it may, it's still super fun.   The main components of this build are the Last Word hand cannon and the Orewing's Maul grenade launcher.   Let's start by talking about The Last Word: It is a 225 RPM hand cannon featuring the Fan Fire perk: this weapon can be fired quickly and continuously. Faster reload and increased accuracy on successive hip-fire damage. This hand cannon will 4-tap a typical G

[D2] Please Never Do This

This is just a quick post asking people never to do what this guy did:   This is an Icarus Grip mod, on a grenade launcher.   But why, Crunchy? Icarus Grips improve in-air accuracy, right? On most weapons, yes. However, all grenade launchers are 100% accurate from the air anyway. So this is essentially a waste of an Icarus Mod that this player will never use again unless they dismantle this Orewing's Maul.   Icarus Grip is the most pointless mod you could

PART-1 | The beginning of Linux / Ubuntu

Going back onto the main topic of the blog though, I decided that I'm gonna use Linux for the very first time in My life on this UDOO-BOLT-V8 only! I've been using Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 for the majority of My life which have served Me well but I figured Hey!, why not try Linux as I had similarly said above. For those are curious, I've decided to install Ubuntu for now..., but I'm gonna be doing a ton of customising which will include some daily updates he

[D2 PvP] Shotgun/Recluse Warlock - Zippy Boi v1

So I've decided to main Warlock for a few weeks as I attempt to hone my skill on and improve with that class. I discovered Transversive Steps last night. In case you don't know what those are, T-Steps are a very fun Warlock exotic boot that makes you sprint faster and reloads your equipped weapon as you do it. Some of you may have gone to the same place I did.   Immediately, out came the Parcel of Stardust and the Recluse. Why that specific combination, you ask? I'm glad you asked

[D2 PvP] Double Quickdraw and Auto Rifles in PvP

I am a very firm believer in the Quickdraw perk. I believe that I can say, without a doubt, that it's my favorite perk in the game.   Some background... I like to play anti-meta outside the competitive playlist. For the purpose of this post, that means running an auto rifle. One that isn't Suros Regime. It means running an auto rifle with low recoil direction and stability stats. It means running a Halfdan-D in the Crucible.   What does running a Halfdan-D in the Crucibl

Discussing Myths: Task Manager is Broken

This is one I often see and often question about what's really going on: the idea that Task Manager is halfway broken and what it reports is inaccurate and shouldn't be trusted. Instead, trust some other program! The reason why this assertion puzzles me is that it's a system tool that Microsoft readily makes available. I'm pretty certain as well that companies, especially major hardware manufacturers, makes sure that Task Manager in Windows reports at least something resembling what they're desi

The Ooblets problem: When hatred goes a bit too far

At this point, you already know my stance on the Epic Games Store. It's not worth repeating but to sum it up, it's a very bare-laden store that utilizes a questionable-at-best tactic in order to catch up quickly to Valve's Steam, the current market leader.    Whilst I've not been a fan of AAA releases going Epic Exclusive, I've usually left an exception for most indies, provided some conditions are met.    Take Ooblets, the latest indie title headed by 2 partners to be going

Discussing Myths: The Intro Post

Since I seem to talk about assertions that people seem to throw around left and right, I thought I'd start (yet) another blog series, Discussing Myths, where I take an assertion and explain why it's a myth. Or at the very least, spreading more light on it so people know what's going on beyond the surface.   So for an introduction post, I figure a shotgun approach to various assertions with shorter responses are in order. If you have more you want me to look at, feel free to drop a repl

10 Programming Languages RANKED

This is just a fun thing of 10 programming languages ranked. Random, and you might not even know them. 10 - Python - Good for beginners, has tons of use, BUT: Slowest language, worst syntax, has less uses than it claims 9 - C - Much better than python except not beginner friendly and is slowly being killed out by C++ 8 - C++ - Speaking of which this is just a more complex C, but nicer in my opinion 7 - F# - FUCK R is what F# stands for. F# is great for data science. Fuck R. 6 - D -

Syntatical

How and why I made Syntatical (an NPM package that changes how you write JavaScript) Basics of Syntatical: Goal:  The initial goal was to make an NPM package that changed how JavaScript is written. Not to make it "easier" or "weirder", just a different way to write it. How it works: Syntactical basically just puts JavaScript code into functions. Making multi-line functions one-line. It also makes console.log shorter, I did this because I hate using console.log() to log every

Packaging for PyPI

How to PROPERLY Make and Package a PyPI module First thing is first: Python This is a case you are making a PYTHON module and unless you WANT to go into the nitty gritty of compilers and binaries for lets say JavaScript, stick with Python files.    Proper folder-ing This is how your folder should be set up (with files   Creating the actual functionality of the package Creating the package just requires code that does SOMETHING. Yet another AMA

I've been stewing on this for a while (and I kind of didn't want to stomp on @Arika S's) but I figured... why not go for it? So here's the AMA if you want to ask me a question, any question! Yes you can ask anything and I will answer. But just so you're aware of the "rules" about this: The answer that I give may not be the answer you want. Until it gets added to this post, I'll accept the question. But once the question is added to this post, I will ignore future repeats of that que
