well BF4 is pretty well optimized. Assuming all the other games you play are as well you'd probably get good performance. Just depends on the card you have now. Assuming 780ti, it wouldn't do much except waste a bit of money. Maybe perform a tad better in games with SLI support. Worse in games without.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

They perform somewhat the same, but I wouldn't pay that much money for it. Specially since It's a used one.

It has just 2 GB of effective VRAM, so as long as you are okay with that, go ahead. SLI is great for higher refresh rates at the same detail level, so it should fit your use case.

who cares...

Well, it would be better than a GTX 960 for sure, but maybe you can grab a good deal for a R9 290X? they're pretty cheap right now and they outperform 780Ti's after recent driver updates that came out this year, an overclocked 290X to the 390X levels is around 2FPS slower, and a 390X can keep up with a GTX 980 most of the time.

2GB of VRAM isn't a good idea right now, even for 1080p. There's also the case when the game won't use SLI and you're left with a GTX 670 basically.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

Accually, i already settled for the 690. This price is very good (in Denmark they go for gtx 970 price usually)

What's the price of a 290X there? Used for example? It's really a much better solution.

i'm more worried about your 600 watt PSU than about your cas getting the heat out.

the gtx690's performance is nothing to be hyped about tho. with sli disabled it performs similar to a single gtx960.

Good that your new PSU would support that. A great choice in terms of GPUs, look for the Sapphire Tri-X or Vapor-X models, they're the best. XFX, Powercolor also have good cards, my 290X from MSI is great, but the cooler is not perfect, it's a bit loud after overclocking cause it's not that beefy, besides that, I love it

Note: I switched from a 970 and there's significant improvement in some games, a little one in others, an improvement overall nevertheless.

Why only for once? ^^ We can agree on many things, as long as they're true

A fine choice indeed, these are still great cards, and if you crossfire them, they would outperform a 980Ti. Provided the game uses crossfire of course.
