Corsair K70 Gaming blue switches mini-review

Rusty_Shackleford

TL;DR It's great get it

K, now. The board is heavy in a good way, with the non-slip pieces of rubber on the bottom this keyboard isn't going anywhere. The key caps that are on it when you buy it are nice that have a matte/soft touch finish to them like my m45 mouse and air 540 case. The switches are great haven't had any problems with them. The legs stand the keyboard up just right for me. The volume wheel works very well haven't had any problems with it. The LED brightness can be changed, it has 4 levels of brightness all great (including off) depending on the situation. No complaints about the LEDs. Both LED 'modes'

work just fine. The space bar has a nice texture to it. The optional key caps it comes with have the same texture. The meta-key lock key(? lol) works just fine and it lights up red when it's enabled :D The braided cable is nice, decent length. Key cap remover is nice, better than the ones made out of wire imo. The wrist rest it comes with it nice, I don't use it but I tried it out.

Complaints. Sometimes certain switches feel sticky at times, most notably the backspace key, but it might be because I'm not pressing the center of the key. No red LEDs for the num lock caps lock and scroll lock indicators. The meta-lock key is disabled when you turn the rig off. The word "gaming" sits right under the Corsair logo in a horrible yellow color, I used a sharpie on it. The base part of the keyboard is a brushed metal rather than a matte soft touch, a personal gripe I guess. I would have liked it to match my keyboard and case.  Last thing I can thing of right now is the extra key caps have this horrible burgundy ish red color to them rather than blood red like the LEDs Oh and the key cap remover tool scuffs the keys sometimes. Also my KB came with a small scratch on the metal part, it's somewhat noticeable.

Spur of the moment review here :P I give it a 8.8/10

Yeah they are although personally I'm not a fan of the weight and size.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
