Need help choosing a 100GB HDD/SSD and a 1TB/2TB HDD

Stadin6

I need a smaller than 100GB HDD/SSD for the OS (root drive for Arch linux). It will be OS only.

I need a 1 or 2 TB  hard drive for storage (home). It has to be fast and good quality.

I want the OS to be on a separate drive to make it easier to change OS and/or distro.

We've now got three different subjects going on, an Asian fox and motorbike fetish, two guys talking about Norway invasions and then some other people talking about body building... This thread is turning into a free for all fetish infested Norwegian circle jerk.

Well, 120GB SSDs seem to be the smallest decent ones you can get, since Kingston changed the flash on their V300 SSDNow line-up.

A Samsung 850 EVO will satisfy your needs perfectly.

As for a hard drive...either WD or Toshiba, from my experience. I don't recommend the Seagate Barracuda, personally; I had one which died on me days after it went out of warranty. Some people are reporting positive results with their Barracuda, so I can't say they're entirely awful drives, but it's a huge caveat emptor situation.

As my OS drive is OS only it will most likely never go above 50 GB. That is why i said less than 100GB storage drive and the reason i might use an SSD is because so low capacity drives are usually very cheap.

It will be a root drive for Arch linux, i (think) it will be impossible/hard/dumb to install anything (other than OS) on it.
