Windows 10 Slow as Hell

For whatever reason, my fresh install of Windows 10 is running very slow after about 3 restarts. I mean 5 minutes to get into the desktop after I inputted my password. I have an SSD, but my computer is basically broke until I figure out how to fix this or maybe you can. Nvidia has been trying to download the gtx 580 driver for me but that keeps failing along with geforce experience. I don't know how to resolve this. Please halp.

EDIT: I now get disk read errors when trying to boot.

Specs?

Based on you getting disk read errors, either your SSD is taking it up the butt, or your installation of windows is poop.

Okay well

stop downloading so much porn for 1

Now onto serious buisness, Driver downloads have been an issue, try cleaning up your SSD with Ccleaner  and do a virus scan to see, preferably with Avasts bootscan or whatever its called, oh and do a benchmark  on read and write speeds for your SSD please, whatever you do don't defrag.

my win10 pro is super fast. havent finished bogging it down yet though.

my win7 had to load 4GB of RAM to start.

my win10 is only at 2.5GB so far.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Okay, how long have you had your SSD? because if you've had it for a while it might be nearing the end of its life (sadly) if you still have warranty you should be able to return it

SSD's usually last around 3,151 estimated write cycles, assuming its 10GB a day, So if you have constantly written to it that much (somehow) it would be failing, it appears that your SSD is failing if the speeds are slower then average

I think the problem is that you are missing your SATA controller drivers.

Try and install them if possible. If not, then when you install Windows, on the section where you pick where you want to have Windows installed, you can load your SATA driver there. There is an option called "Load Drivers". Be sure to get the extracted SATA controller drivers, as you can't extract .zip file, or run .exe's/.msi files under Windows setup, as Windows is not installed. On the motherboard site they usually refer them as ".inf drivers" which are .zipped, for you to extract on a USB flash drive.

Also, forget GeForce Experience, Nvidia didn't made it Windows 10 ready. Go on Nvidia site, get the latest Nvidia drivers, in the setup of the drivers, go under "Advanced", and remove Nvidia 3D Vision and GeForce Experience, and also check the box to do a clean install. This should help.
