Budget Gaming Build? Thoughts?

Hey guys, recently i figured out the build that i want to get and i just wanted to get some confirmation and some opinions from you guys.

Next week (hopefully) I shall be getting a new PC after like 7 years, upgrading from the Ancient Egyptian DDR2. I am based in Australia by the way.

 

CPU: intel i3-4170 - $158

Motherboard: ASRock B85M-PRO3 - $79

RAM: Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 8GB - $85

SSD: Kingston Hyper X Fury 120gb 2.5 SSD - $78

Case (with PSU): Thermaltake versa h22 - $79

GFX: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 750 - $159

 

 

I'm sitting on a tight budget as well, 650$ being the complete MAXIMUM.

 

I'm not a heavy gamer (not playing games such as Witcher 3 etc) but i do intend to use this build as a gaming computer.

The only games that i play are League of Legends, Rocket League and CS:GO. I do play other games but i know they wouldn't be graphic reliant as they are on my computer at the moment onto my old one.

 

I want to be able to play these games on max settings with 60FPS, I know myself they aren't as graphic reliant but i just want to receive confirmation from you guys.

 

I'm also looking to upgrade from this build later on as i save up money gradually and probably would upgrade to an i7 and a 960-970GTX in the future.

The motherboard may or may not support the 4170 as it is a Haswell Refresh. You might want to ask the retailer what BIOS version do they have it on...

I can't find any credible/reliable benchmarks but I'm siding with the R7 360 as it is newer and has full DirectX12 support whereas the GTX 750 has "partial" support https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_700_series, however the R7 360 does consume more power therefore higher heat output (most likely not more than a 10C degrees difference)

Also I don't personally recommend buying cases with PSUs due to reliability/build issues.

If you're going to be upgrading in the future then you might aswell invest in a somewhat beefy PSU to cover your needs.

IMHO: I'd take out the SSD and put that money on the GPU/PSU. Save money for x-mas sales and grab a 970/390 whichever is the cheapest by then.
